Royal bank lowered 5 year fix rate yesterday.

看新闻里提到这次降息是暂时的，等7月，9月各大银行提高利率时，贷款利率也会增加。

Currently the fix rate is 5.99%  V2 ~; I+ }# C1 i
the variable rate is Primary - 0.75%, that is 5.25 now. ! I, x3 u6 M; y$ `1 g
I do not know if I should use fix rate or variable rate .

5-year-fix rate mortage does not requrie you to pay all the mortgage in full in 5 years. Only the interest rate is fixed in 5 years. You can choose the term as 25 years or 40 years.
