Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the; y$ M, W; N/ g: g0 q R0 k
festival.
$ E; M: B9 @# xBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and# D: x( {8 n3 K- l& D9 Z
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
' K6 K* |6 r% ^5 H7 F9 `' n0 lprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
( t) J5 @3 @ H' z9 DChalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the% R% k+ W" f7 D7 |% [3 ?$ P' n
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.; \' P2 s7 x! o Y4 o
Environment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for' D, b- D/ }4 } C9 |
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the' Y9 U( Y% y$ u$ t
recyclables.
9 S8 o' q$ I+ ~3 V7 S& YFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be8 O4 H( a! I7 {4 m3 j( W- `
part of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
- U* p. V# R. O0 M& DHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
7 b/ h1 j6 y) uthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
- z- K% I7 Z$ J: I3 L9 \hours are part of this crew’s duties. X" z$ w$ S+ B# {0 j* r
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the3 ~9 z7 h! a* Z) X4 C# {3 J
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide. d2 X" R' H; u+ d5 k! S
programs to visitors to the festival.; ^/ y7 _& @; a+ m
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
& e& X& M5 h! r: r* m, yeveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.* `. C+ V6 `" q1 ?
Office: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed
/ t- d0 k" [* K7 q' g" Aevents and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
$ z8 v T& L/ O6 o2 Gfestival.
; q- A( Q7 u. P! [8 _ TSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is6 l* y; J* R+ O! Z: z6 o" p/ j$ K
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you
P( e& B5 i1 T; o$ i4 k; Dare physically fit and ready for any emergency.
) }( x8 t) {$ o( r6 w6 y/ jStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training
; _( d$ y; L8 \! c4 h3 @2 t% Kand/or understanding of back stage procedures.
9 S0 r* [' k; `& W+ E i2 }, JTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be+ t6 y; C. f4 d4 A. {
required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as" v) k+ N- m8 W! i
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
% x+ G. G! x: R! S! x# J! L9 estaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
