Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the( N3 @* ^/ Z+ g" S
festival.
/ l# q5 W, E. q/ h% `0 ~( nBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and
% Q, J# M; D4 X* s* ?- jwork the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft5 @/ Z+ P* e) J7 f
prep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
8 y; ]* {+ T4 W0 k- }% | ~Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the
9 x0 u! [( a: N+ Z: |% Partist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
5 S# G) u0 y$ u+ YEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for
+ V0 ?* U! f1 j' Z* n4 q: ovisitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the5 {( ?! Y. v# t, T1 E# \ Z8 N
recyclables.
* `- X: b& W0 T! T5 d% p0 Y% \Front of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
* I4 x' g. \: ypart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.
2 x4 Y [: ]# YHospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing" C/ i% z. r: w8 H; O
them with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late$ L- ]" ^ a6 C) ^) K
hours are part of this crew’s duties. B' {1 C0 |- ^: z+ i' Q3 C
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the, D; b) D3 X0 C
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide4 O" i+ u! [% `* R( G& z9 G; M7 w
programs to visitors to the festival.. b6 r$ U1 o ?5 P o% M F4 l
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
, L% e1 f9 W; X: E: a& x* keveryone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
. y; P8 P6 \( LOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed% y6 N0 i/ T7 |* s4 f3 `
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the
: N/ ?1 x6 d/ {8 q5 p' [0 H+ Jfestival.
* c, _4 S) V: k$ Q7 d7 i7 p, S& zSite: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is4 z6 M0 e7 [/ b9 m3 o
operating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you% o% N! q* w& E$ `$ J$ r
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.
) k6 o# W9 j F+ F' N) ?2 ]. eStage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training6 R; y4 r' W! f$ H" w9 B
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.
( F2 M5 S7 w( h- v3 K. qTransportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
1 U2 \) L6 d" o% c# ^required), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as$ K+ P* C2 o+ A' Q# m2 n8 l! K
airport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival
; V9 [, ]3 V' Q6 h4 G A+ bstaff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
