Audience Services: Provides information, aid and security on the site for everyone participating in the
) O- B2 v+ _' o& ~% v/ {/ Vfestival.
6 n; R8 V' O$ iBe Your Own Busker (ATB Big Top): Work with creative people who will teach patrons to juggle and& v# M+ G9 l I5 `6 _# b8 t
work the Diablo, play in a band and lots of other fun stuff. Duties include, helping at artist circles, craft
7 X/ f0 [4 @' G' X/ nprep, door person, stagehand, and clean up.
2 H% s) ^% J& l( b* }Chalk Chics: Festival goers will be asked to participate in chalk drawings. Volunteers will be helping the7 U$ m5 a( q; g: p9 P6 a3 D
artist by providing whatever support is needed for this activity. More details to come.
9 ?- r& E& u# @0 w( ?2 y- EEnvironment: We need lots of volunteers to help ensure that the Square is kept looking beautiful for, m( B& A9 ` a2 m
visitors to the festival. We provide equipment and materials to help you dispose of garbage and sort the8 w9 S3 r0 X r+ x- x' m1 Y6 L
recyclables.
: E6 d1 q* }# B$ OFront of House: If you are well organized, like people, and can handle line up control and questions, be
3 O) X8 R) Y9 ]: D& Zpart of the door crew for our three indoor theatre events. You must be able to work late into the evening.2 J5 W8 L$ S7 @# f
Hospitality: The volunteers are off site in the host hotel looking after our artists and guests by providing
7 a; g" r+ t) @9 tthem with delicious meals, snacks and beverages in the Hospitality Suite. Some heavy lifting and late
( k' f% ~8 _; D& M* n, mhours are part of this crew’s duties.7 _# P: `0 [1 F. Y( M
Information: Inside the Info trailer, volunteers on this crew know everything there is to know about the' ?, n" u- q+ L- P3 s9 {7 U$ F
festival - who, what, when where and how is their business. They also sell merchandise and provide. z# j* x! L. d4 l5 u
programs to visitors to the festival.' T" P v' P) n
Kids’ World: Enjoy some time entertaining the wee folks. Activities and games will be provided for
! H b( W+ d5 v% \everyone coming to this area. Help our creative coordinators make this place an enjoyable experience.
3 ^) ]5 m8 D0 C' ZOffice: Duties will include answering telephone inquiries about the festival, selling seats to the ticketed. d) X1 ]: |* q8 \; n
events and general office duties. Volunteers must have a good telephone manner and knowledge of the6 I8 a% B- I) ~% L7 |- ^$ W! P
festival.2 C, L) C8 A2 s! l$ X( L( W
Site: Volunteers will help our Production manager and his assistant make sure all that the physical site is
9 T* n$ D, h; voperating smoothly. From erecting tents to flying banners and putting up fencing, it is important that you" J) E) N4 c. Y% V+ e0 H# N( f$ t
are physically fit and ready for any emergency.& G+ G, J c& L0 e* i6 H
Stage: All volunteers who are helping with any theatrical productions must have some previous training: W7 Q! o% ?7 O0 T' e
and/or understanding of back stage procedures.0 N, W& J4 k6 _ l
Transportation: Volunteers 25 years of age with a clean driving license, (driver’s abstract will be
6 {; E' O& m( D. A4 T) X& Vrequired), will be asked to drive artists to and from various performance locations in the city as well as
6 h/ V% B! z9 K, L) L2 M1 C# dairport arrivals and departures. Other duties include day to day pick ups and deliveries that the festival3 s1 F3 b4 ~! c4 Y$ B- v F2 U- J
staff and artists may require. A good knowledge of the city is required. |
