The Asian Chinese Opera Association and the Hong Kong SingFai Opera
Association (Children Div.) is putting together an Opera performance at
SUB
theatre, U of Alberta, Jul. 21, Sat. at 1-4 pm.  The casts are led by 2

instructors - Lau Wai Ming and Fong Suet Ying, both are Champions of
the
+ q2 l- p$ y* v. {$ }# C5 J. \Cantonse Opera Contest in Hong Kong and was awarded outstanding
. R/ c, t2 i8 PAchievements
in Arts Education in the teacher category by the Hong Kong Arts

) d1 M$ N0 E: W1 F  MCouncil.  Children cast members are ranging from 6 - 15 years old.  The

# |( o7 M: q9 Q! sperformance will be done in English with Chinese operatic music; plus a

songs in well-known Cantonese Opera... The performance was done to
# R: }! p) V  C! c: k$ }$ zsold-out
crowds in various Hong Kong venues and received rave review from the
Hong Kong
