through Friday

) H9 o6 H0 {! M, N( {! w9 A3 y; g( eJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
. f  T+ P- M( \7 ~* Y1 w+ r* f9 wOperations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
cleanliness and order in the bar.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and

2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.
  P% X) K$ l) Z- ^$ N
3 \- H  B4 B. e: W+ m3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
1 O3 z% X. F7 K/ |/ W. @  E" Qeach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
, e# @/ Z: ?/ o' o" ~' rattention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
* X$ I) l8 v3 B: s- eseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
9 m: V0 d" Y$ v5 O. {storage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
7 _6 u: m4 q( }# O4 j( E: ^monitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
/ q0 B2 ]$ _6 c2 maccordance with Students' Union policies.

) J; B* M0 J3 C( D) b7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

& C' ?+ V( ^# h) j/ o. g! eQUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

6 q) B) \. w9 F2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

, \* S( O0 _, U9 Q$ L! O3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
accordance with Students' Union policy.

& G$ u7 `. j, |7 C" t* G4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.

purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
