22.5 hours a week - Hours from 10:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m., Monday  
through Friday

: A; R! g; P+ g. N6 J0 C! hJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Operations Manager, the Bartender is responsible for carrying out the  
0 q& i; y/ u3 V8 d$ v* uprocedures necessary to maintain a high standard of customer service,  
# C9 ~, w; t9 acleanliness and order in the bar.

2 d4 J  ]7 }+ ^- N9 cDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
4 x, \( C' m$ [5 W  A5 a/ I; c1) Provides service to Servers and customers by dispensing food and  
$ P- t" _- b  n7 `$ Ubeverage items.

) m$ _2 _! v* z, `; y4 m2) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold, and for the  
bar and debit floats.
# N' A* N3 j  c+ P' A& L: l' @
1 o8 T, B5 _. v6 U3) Opens and closes the bar - counts floats and sales at the end of  
6 h1 {4 w6 p# l; ~7 Z7 W  Yeach shift, and upon closing.

4) Cleanliness of all areas, supplies and equipment, with particular  
attention to areas used by customers including bar counters and  
: P% h% l8 J- Fseating, tables and chairs and surrounding floor surfaces.

& c% J  E6 R& k. e5) Receives orders from suppliers, rotating stock as required in  
9 S  A9 N" [2 U7 e. X5 Kstorage areas.   Restocks kegs, back-bar beer coolers and all alcohol  
, O: g3 J3 s, O, K: ]products, serving supplies and condiments at the end of each shift.

7 W0 M3 Z, g/ Q( Z7 N6) Supervision of staff, with particular attention to close  
8 a( P/ m7 e, Q9 D/ Omonitoring of Servers to ensure that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

5 L) e6 O+ M! y5 F: w+ f7) Training part-time staff in a manner consistent with maintaining a  
high standard of customer service and effective operation of the room.
- j' ?& R6 F9 R7 u To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
* H, R$ ?% P! L+ D$ g! UAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

1 N% g- S* U( V! v7 N3 I. p9) Other job related duties as required by the Operations Manager,  
Senior Operations Manager and Senior Manager.

' i0 e$ M+ k: ~5 @4 q) u7 y$ zQUALIFICATIONS:
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

" C/ _8 ^+ e  A8 E# p2) Minimum of two years experience bartending in a high-volume  
operation.

: a1 P- r0 }% K# ?& @3) Excellent work habits, appearance, personal hygiene and dress in  
  ?; }/ c5 L: Paccordance with Students' Union policy.
! r6 g+ @# a0 n: K
4 a! w' _% ?) B1 Z6 W$ P4) Good physical condition, the ability to handle full beer kegs.
5 R( `4 f% l: C" s. u+ v
2 @' `1 n2 d1 O5) Ability to interact effectively with all customers and Students´  
Union staff while presenting a friendly, respectful and diplomatic  
attitude.
