JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
# o, j- C4 S' M3 ?Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
carrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
/ M+ _5 ^0 K8 X/ lcustomer service and room cleanliness.
+ Y) d* \) `$ S5 k0 }, A3 u+ Q

; n  [) _! k3 _" i& L( {DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
9 g; f& X( {* E7 y, o1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
orders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
6 f6 D  X$ L9 B1 Nhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
- i0 F4 t& ]+ X* \: i0 jaccordance with Students' Union policies.

2 n& @. {4 f$ B3 b5 }) y( U: Z3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
3 J- M. Z1 _5 t7 Ntotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
# l9 G% d" g; x: H, x; ?including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

) W! \5 p* i9 t- _+ n8 o) ^  `) [5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
% a+ p9 `8 a; F2 d4 Y+ ?0 tintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.
) v9 M6 Z% p, l& q* t
7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.

+ N  w3 M  Q3 g. cQUALIFICATIONS;
# p5 T+ V" R0 x. A+ h& A1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
9 g9 Y4 d% r% r" n7 O; Hoperation.
6 l8 \2 G, r1 N; m& f( p% k
3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
: q& q5 u  ?+ R+ qpolicy.

; b8 V; D/ ]  s2 K8 y! U4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.
) r3 Q% \+ Z5 s8 k0 d! V* E
5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
; q$ y: }' P7 D  ^6 ?professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
