% I  L: p/ Z2 s. {7 g$ @JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
) t/ P' {! U! f$ c; i1 ecarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
/ p* q+ {3 t; Dcustomer service and room cleanliness.


% k. \! |- n! U( |$ \  RDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
: n% }4 w& m1 w- b1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
/ p' z, E) Z6 w7 T+ Porders.
0 ^. z: z  S. X% G& Y
' x( U4 H/ S3 {5 k) a) g1 Y" J2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
( j( H6 L$ }9 P/ I8 mhigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

& ^& w2 Q$ O9 K5 D3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
1 v. j4 j0 B" {1 x/ h1 v) Gtotal cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
. W" I' S9 o6 Y3 pincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

8 s# u& X6 t: I7 I: v5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
action when necessary in accordance with established Server  
  M2 r+ l8 F0 W2 h) u9 y' n$ Wintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
' Q( `% q- A# p6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
9 u, @5 w5 t) J* WAuthority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations  
Manager.


1 I# Z; \, {/ eQUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.

) I/ s  Y3 _0 v9 M2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

9 r' M. ~2 A) h9 r3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
4 L( Z% ~! t. g& xpolicy.

6 |" l3 K: F# t0 @$ k- m( i4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

+ P6 K& X( N. [5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

Union Position

7 W$ A: ^, O/ MWage: $7.00/hour (under negotiation) plus 50% discount on food
