Thursdays

  N2 w7 W4 C1 ~& s' S0 cJOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
Bartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
% T% k" S! F0 q! Z& b+ b: mcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
" |: f1 Y+ h; w8 Ncustomer service and room cleanliness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
0 e. D* `( W# L. p- j. T. |" ^orders.

8 V  \8 l. F: p( I0 ]( X+ U2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
, M; h+ k" k3 P# O, d; Chigh level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
$ D( j4 r! i- t+ G5 B/ eaccordance with Students' Union policies.
9 P; `. \; z5 S' m  w6 ~
, j* A# V" g1 K6 s3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.
& k% a! M: d2 |. V; T
4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
3 |, A' X) L2 U; V1 }( b& {; cincluding regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
and ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
% q5 H) s  Q) N( v1 \7 @5 L; saction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
* g- K4 M7 ^# H" a" {, ointervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
! }, h6 P; @* q6 g5 G# @6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

QUALIFICATIONS;
& L" o  [) i4 o5 ^2 r: R3 Z5 l1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
7 p' `  G9 r# i3 D$ x3 [
2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
operation.

3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.

$ ]4 k% ^  C' r* l: ~4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
) J3 j4 a+ j3 n/ o; P' L7 b8 bprofessional, friendly and diplomatic manner.

purchased at SU outlets to be eaten on shift break
