JOB SUMMARY:  Responsible to and under the general supervision of the  
1 C6 H# y: R) ABartender and Operations Manager, the Server is responsible for  
' R' U$ b: r) I( Hcarrying out the procedures necessary to maintain a high standard of  
2 y4 w4 x4 F* `" F) l  zcustomer service and room cleanliness.

* ^, s# ?8 j$ m: p% F$ ]( K% iDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES;
( J$ X. O/ h- g# W: L: Y: ^1) Provides table service by taking and delivering food and beverage  
# i( ~! w+ }# t3 W  korders.

2) Responsible for ensuring that customers consistently receive a  
high level of customer service offered with a positive attitude, in  
accordance with Students' Union policies.

) s5 K0 S( ~9 a* E1 P6 Y/ P# P3) Responsible for handling cash for the products sold and for the  
total cash-out value of items sold on each shift.

4) Responsible for maintaining table, room and bar area cleanliness,  
# s9 i: E8 F, U" E4 }4 ?including regular bussing and wiping of tables, full ashtray removal  
0 G. Q( D8 N" |& l, n- y4 n3 dand ensuring floor surface cleanliness.

( n6 E6 j, R0 I! [) `- s6 K5) Monitoring patron levels of intoxication and taking appropriate  
: E1 J5 @. s0 ^' D- W* T/ gaction when necessary in accordance with established Server  
$ p4 o4 p  j6 I, }2 Jintervention procedures and provincial liquor laws.
6) To enforce the AGLC Liquor Control Act, the Capital Health  
Authority Act, U of A and Students´ Union regulations and policies.

7) Perform other job-related duties as required by the Operations

QUALIFICATIONS;
1) Minimum Alberta Grade XII or equivalent.
0 E; @& f" S/ `; O
5 G, v- X6 j* G0 Y5 y& j' ^2) Minimum one year serving experience in a high-volume, food-based  
3 G4 O4 d# \. E: Q* p6 `4 _2 Foperation.

9 y, f+ y. R' k) V3) Personal cleanliness and dress in accordance with Students' Union  
policy.
  A' V$ W! O: q$ P
4 \0 n4 U4 ~) e) S% t0 `+ W4) Experience operating an Interac terminal and processing charge  
card transactions.

# X: x. Q2 @0 B/ E% q6 q5) Ability to deal with staff, students and the general public in a  
professional, friendly and diplomatic manner.
