Salary to be paid will be $14.00 per hour (includes vacation pay, stat
pay, student premium, and second language augmentation)

Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30
% i2 C+ W; Q. V' [+ v; `/ T1 G) [% `- 35 per week during the busy period. There may be an opportunity for
the student to stay on a casual basis (10 - 20 hours per week) once the
school year starts.

# y- [0 K5 J8 CDuties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at
0 N; X. [0 f$ D+ j+ v, \5 b- lCIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
0 y- v- e: A9 B, s. E* I) Ivenues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
etc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for
) L* t0 U9 k6 @, N8 r: C8 sparticipants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
their program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
8 r$ B, x4 ]# b' Vassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
2 M! ?) V" z" Evenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city
, `+ [: t1 l3 Eoutings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night
+ s- T0 B: J7 h5 s3 bexcursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or
. O) W. w3 ^1 V4 C/ \functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint
+ s% y2 f7 n% Npresentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc.

Qualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in
  u: K( H- I. M8 Y7 ~& fCommerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
fluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,
/ o2 S/ y/ n( b! h$ m* r& w3 p  Xdemonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
+ L! T+ l% o* V" s0 M5 Z# Ta variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those
: M2 f/ w/ ^4 C! Y5 L- ?- ~5 x- Wof co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
0 I* z& O+ g& n5 zskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,
experience coordinating group activities an asset.
