Hours per week will be 20 - 30 - 20 during the first few weeks, then 30

" c$ z; j' i% i- k1 ^Duties include: preparing for programs by working with current staff at& U/ G: v9 J+ g' y) ?
CIBS to secure and schedule various program requirements (off-campus
( s+ Y4 {' k! M$ p7 X: ]9 H+ M# w ?venues, tour agents, goods and services, program materials and supplies,
4 c3 O- d+ v: D- I& q+ retc.); reproducing and distributing documents and correspondence for: v* }9 x3 I% V; N3 ]' ?' [: Y
participants, assisting to orient participants to the University and
1 i4 J0 H" _8 q/ L- Vtheir program on their arrival, and trouble-shooting for them during
. y/ y7 k, L# @their program; booking program venues, setting up for sessions,
1 J! c. H/ t% E9 |2 d. {: Q% I9 h: ?" Jassisting visiting speakers or invited session presenters, striking
" B* Y) i5 ?0 R6 ]2 evenue at end of session; traveling as guide with groups on in-city; S5 [" y& ^" |
outings or site visits, or, occasionally, on overnight out-of-city8 ]# t, f$ s! w. m7 c
excursions (does not involve driving or overnight week night! f5 F8 ?3 ]3 W3 F0 l
excursions); interpreting (non-technical exchanges) at meetings or* n& g' b& }' k! A# B, g
functions; translating, revising or drafting program-related documents# k" ^- g" _7 j4 V* T
such as schedules, itineraries, notices, correspondence, PowerPoint" p& @( i* O$ m* o6 b
presentations, program binders, evaluation forms, etc. 0 r! B6 a) U. d% _% l5 s; s
b5 Q2 j* C2 K- B# m4 |+ QQualifications include: senior undergrad student; coursework in4 [: T5 B: _" e5 K
Commerce, Education or Economics preferred, ability to communicate
& R; P1 H" A- n2 @* t" Hfluently (oral and written) in English and Mandarin Chinese,/ l) W. X. S$ W! p+ F e8 I) }
demonstrates a high-level of self organization, initiative to undertake
; g* J8 A) C" F$ e" Y2 ?% t7 T$ a0 Ia variety of tasks; ability to coordinate individual efforts with those3 Y3 t& q* G+ e3 o
of co-workers, excellent interpersonal organization and time-management
' m1 K0 t0 b- lskills; accuracy to detail; working knowledge of MS applications (Word,
6 B) E9 p! R1 w& b' z% E8 s6 EExcel, PowerPoint and Outlook); administrative experience an asset,) _/ H8 Y& s9 J. x
