The University of Alberta - Department of Chemistry is currently
recruiting for the position of Laboratory Technician Assistant - Job No.
5 w+ P  N9 H4 P# Q9195.  

Salary to be paid will be $15.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Duties include: working closely with graduate students and research
" f0 W+ s% s, Y* Ftechnicians, the candidate will work on the synthesis of intermediates
: j. E) ?3 ]" D2 ^" W# K" [for use in chemical and biochemical research. Particular duties will
. o6 B- B: K5 v4 n/ ^& ^7 ninclude carrying out chemical and/or enzymatic reactions and purifying
( {) V% J% l9 T. ?compounds by chromatography.

Qualifications include successful completion of courses in organic
Chemistry (Chemistry 263 or equivalent) and ideally biochemistry and
analytical chemistry; familiarity with basic biology and chromatographic
separations important. Attention to detail and ability to work as part
of a team essential.
