Job Summary:
s7 v, }/ h" K9 h+ U7 uThe Non-ferrous laborer must be able to properly identify and sort non-ferrous metals. Applies knowledge of non-ferrous metals to properly identify materials when interacting with customers. Prepares non-ferrous materials for transport. Both indoor and outdoor, fast-paced setting.

Must be able to sort, process, grade non-ferrous materials
' G0 M: S! A3 z/ h4 z \& nInspects material for hazardous waste and grades different types of non-ferrous materials
! j$ ~5 P6 w$ }: o; pLoads and unloads non-ferrous material
4 U7 P0 g/ |5 sMust be able to work safely at all times
4 m, m7 b# }- {" UBe able to effectively perform tasks independently
% A* @9 q3 F) W! a( T. p/ o5 L' hPerforms routine housekeeping.) z8 P1 w) o/ |" x
Observes and reports any safety issues

Understand and be able to grade all non-ferrous material properly

Experience stripping equipment and/or with manual material sorting
$ i& j7 K4 {$ j( M$ P: ]. }Knowledge of non-ferrous processing* ?4 F% ~6 S+ h3 n) B) f0 h7 G
High school diploma (Or GED)5 J8 W8 f1 V, J# Q6 B
Well-articulated and assertive
- k" u, P5 }9 xAbility to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervisors, maintenance personnel and other employees of the organization
! U% C: [5 n) U I5 G) S; QAbility to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos' S1 ]- j( E$ _5 a8 D
Ability to write simple correspondence
