Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and

+ x0 _, ?" |! ^, f, r/ PYou will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer, t2 u( F, H8 [3 x/ |1 X; K. Z1 [
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
$ ^+ J: G# D; R2 w7 K8 h( e1 Acentre." |8 n4 Z$ d3 ?/ X
These responsibilities include:
- B* [$ Q$ ]3 k8 I# z-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.5 {4 A6 y3 K6 Z# ^4 a
-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.5 j3 o k( X0 y$ ?: M9 o( A
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
9 F$ R3 _5 p$ H+ C0 l8 G- Urenewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to 3 W3 N" o3 X. Y$ G
facilities’ maintenance, etc.
; s3 K! T( @9 u V% {. o-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic 2 O5 R: H5 J( ?2 e
clients’ files etc.

Education:
( E: I* b. n; n-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, / m, Z1 N/ [8 o) k6 p% Z
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
. ~( Q6 Q# A/ S* F: f! Uof education, training and /or experience.
b: |( E. }* ]+ H/ b1 hKnowledge/Technical competencies:7 h( \2 N/ z8 G* h- W# `! n
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
0 X0 G7 c2 Z Y$ r2 m# w-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word1 |) x0 f# m1 M& T* S" G) f3 T
and Excel.
+ Q# A* [; z- s' }! q C-Experience using and updating an information database.

-Experience in using MS Access.
