Location: Research Data Centre, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Alberta

Job description
! Z2 P/ K; K1 ]1 t1 q( PStatistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and6 w; E" V, N6 A3 I. y2 g; A
weekend hours.3 }( i( f# f( J" G* h2 O
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer4 E5 T, @* Y% a# o
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the
4 ~- F5 Y! E4 ^, y+ M. g+ }centre.- A0 @" }9 z) ?7 t4 C# ~
These responsibilities include:7 e9 c, L( T$ j1 g& P8 E
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
' G/ i1 W# M) B* j7 V2 g3 y-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.2 }! A1 B- S' {: N
-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
* p" o8 K6 o) H* t' x5 j% r: j' I1 ^renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
2 {! F T4 c! @facilities’ maintenance, etc.
! _0 V7 C% a g& o-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic
8 h" U3 B/ Z% u: E8 gclients’ files etc. $ ?1 o$ k1 M: h3 ?
Statement of Qualifications

& k, X0 d. B0 F-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences, 8 {2 N+ Y( N- U9 | n: d
education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
% N" \0 c* H- U$ B1 Pof education, training and /or experience. 2 a8 J" K3 Y8 x: N6 D. D& A
Knowledge/Technical competencies:
8 k+ J" O# _3 t1 f5 c-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.! i P1 D2 k2 |3 T
-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word1 F4 H. j. f* x9 ?
and Excel.
8 ?* e- k* V- a-Experience using and updating an information database.
