: M% M% L+ G5 m( D& p4 i( j: |" ^weekend hours.3 K; W" c: O7 O
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer$ i- T7 O7 R1 S/ r) T" H% h
lab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the/ v' ?% h4 L) v1 U% l
centre./ ?4 s2 r- @ R# L
These responsibilities include:" T5 ~5 N! k2 Q
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
+ B- d8 e7 ]" a; Q) x-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
5 B( _+ [4 E' ~. ]& C-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and1 F. z, R4 S- @1 h
renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
; X) \3 V9 U& x, i/ gfacilities’ maintenance, etc. ' z m6 W: S( I- w7 h
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic ; M. _$ V8 `8 @1 Q9 f* K" h6 K
clients’ files etc.

/ E. Y! a( X& _1 e/ z+ dEducation:
- Q" I: Z0 l9 ?( s+ {+ [-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
2 p2 b, q# {# l2 eeducation, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination 9 p) b* t+ i/ t
of education, training and /or experience.
- D' q3 [# ~1 M5 yKnowledge/Technical competencies:
1 G7 ~- v7 m! }: g& Q/ Z# t-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
6 A r( G- J P3 |8 m* G6 Y-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word
' k( [- D/ K' t+ O& ~and Excel.
, z8 b7 g8 w1 ^0 ]5 M6 ?9 ^6 C+ ?-Experience using and updating an information database. , A: O$ x2 x# P ~

-Experience in using MS Access.
