Employment Tenure: Part-time/Causal (approximately 12 hours per week). The incumbent’s

Statistics Canada is looking for a reliable individual for a part-time position to work evenings and. {7 l3 \' h( |3 A0 Q
weekend hours.3 `2 `9 S2 I5 j7 Q& n2 h7 W
You will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Research Data Centre (RDC) computer
# T U4 R/ U( Glab located on the University of Alberta campus as well as providing administrative support for the' o+ t) B. a- R) Z$ \4 K. a" R
centre.
2 O& X# d/ u1 w0 GThese responsibilities include:$ r1 ^0 ], Z7 ?0 d2 O0 m0 p, \* g
-Maintain the integrity of the security systems in the RDC.
1 C+ E( z0 g+ G" [8 h4 ]1 B" H-Provide basic support to clients on operating Window XP.
0 r0 Z3 {6 A- W- W o-Provide general office administration support, such as filing, upgrading software and
+ L+ y6 i: k2 S$ ^renewing licenses, communicating with various university departments with respect to
+ p9 {1 e& A2 |+ [facilities’ maintenance, etc. 3 l0 w" y; Q9 Q9 S
-Conduct other office related tasks, such as Internet documents search, backup of electronic 6 Y3 [/ c9 _4 p* \' z
clients’ files etc. / \8 P8 P- y& U& A0 q9 v2 Z
Statement of Qualifications

-Successful completion of Bachelor degree in administration, business, computer sciences,
" j3 _) A& j+ A8 ?education, economics, sociology, statistics or related discipline; or an acceptable combination
8 E+ h7 a" b. ]( @of education, training and /or experience. ' E m" L% c6 W/ ?! N
Knowledge/Technical competencies: W9 ?. O( C# }1 I2 X$ s
-General knowledge of the Microsoft Window operating system.
* }2 D! X5 ]# m" U0 Y-Extensive experience in using Microsoft Window office application software including Word$ X* m: ]+ F" z, [
and Excel.
: b" T8 R; I _6 S5 m-Experience using and updating an information database.

-Experience in using MS Access.

-Experience in one of the Statistics software: SAS, SPSS or STATA

-Ability to operate a computerized system to research information.
