Class 1 Driver Needed

CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

Key Job Duties

% x) A1 R  i, q6 R  |· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork

· Connecting and disconnecting trailers
9 U8 f! M% E5 `! U
2 }3 {$ o+ ~" g3 v* J· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

3 ]7 M+ Z$ p* `9 Q, [· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
  H% o' M: a- y, F* q
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

· Operate manual and automatic shifts

· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements
+ ?! \5 O$ M& ?4 w* I1 D$ |7 @5 c
2 w+ G" v' b( z: a% e# `) M· Minimum 3 years experience
1 R9 Y4 c, q8 B
6 B0 j" f! B# j· Valid Class 1 license
7 r0 |8 k3 `6 K
· 5 years clean driving record and abstract

9 V* l" [7 x% ~$ H· Load securement certification

· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

. a2 n# w  l( F& T  v. W· Excellent organizational and time management skills
+ d. R! O: J* Y! S6 P
· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Ability to make runs to town or day runs to Fort Mac
