CAC Enterprises Group Inc. is a scrap metal recycling facility that is currently seeking an experienced Class 1 Driver. We have work that takes us to many destinations within the city of Edmonton, (occasionally the province of Alberta) and need a conscientious and safety focused driver to join our team.

& @( H9 s; ?# J  C) w: d
· Perform pre-trip, post-trip inspections and preventative maintenance checks and paperwork
! X- ~5 M5 i( }0 n* e( n
· Connecting and disconnecting trailers

· Record keeping of travel details, repairs and inspections

5 R. j3 C, Q) T: K# _8 U' T8 Q· Keep equipment tidy, clean and in good working order
; b; L* r: A7 t" h9 h$ n
· Running flat decks, step decks, containers and super b’s

9 g4 T, ]( \& _1 |6 Z/ G1 e· Operate manual and automatic shifts

: \0 B+ F+ ]9 ?! Y· Secure loads safely

· Pick up and deliver containers in an efficient manner
Qualifications and Training Requirements

) n0 U7 x0 w, w2 S· Minimum 3 years experience
& _, x# n) y4 L  d9 K9 e
+ S/ p- ?, H$ F7 W! P* K· Valid Class 1 license

' g) L0 z9 T8 B" K- @, [- c& X· 5 years clean driving record and abstract
, g* x0 M; y$ H
· Load securement certification
$ E0 \! f5 O" k; @5 K( p4 X
· Familiarity with industry safety rules and regulations

' ]4 ~3 g, _& N* h  ^· Excellent organizational and time management skills

· Good communication skills and understanding of English (written and verbal)

· Knowledge of large vehicle maintenance, traffic regulations and a good sense of orientation

· Working in this industry requires patience and respect; sometimes the job takes longer than we would like but always being tolerant is paramount.

· Oversized loads experience is considered an asset
