Job Description : Description of Accountability

As a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:
% |% D9 b2 P4 O6 r$ m3 H5 N8 |, @, ^ }+ E M& j: u4 T
- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved. ) s; p s I8 s1 e; c" I: l
- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
" N Q% h, Y2 X @+ B- w: Y- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
3 ^* T- J: B7 h0 X$ h- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
8 j6 q# H9 P! |" h5 N- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
: R' F! O4 F' s- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).

# H+ C5 f# `& B+ ^3 Y8 o! ^- Previous supervisory experience % g7 Y! i( T4 U8 {& h
- Strong leadership skills
. I! `3 Z! ~8 P N- |- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
+ C ], y L7 z% U- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
" U% B4 ^3 u" b- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations 9 D: B2 j8 \& ?9 A* y
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
