Job Description :  Description of Accountability

; D+ P: b" U7 l6 HAs a Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible for the safe and effective operation of the Reclamation and Pond Operations facilities on a shift basis. Other job duties include:

- Supervising Shift personnel to ensure reclamation operating targets are achieved.
: Z8 ]+ {) x/ ?6 s- Developing and implementing programs focused on the optimization and continuous improvement of the operating plants.
* S# u8 X/ B* f7 @- Ensuring effective on-shift training and progression qualification for operators.
7 v0 Y# d' `* t: x4 I. k4 L! k" Y- Developing and revising applicable standards and procedures.
- Ensuring a structured approach to managing safety performance and environmental diligence.
- Ensuring effective communications within the Reclamation Operating Group as well as with other departments, and with other operating groups (Extraction).
- Managing shift expense budgets.

- Previous supervisory experience
- Strong leadership skills
# D  q! @" F9 ]; l8 `; k& w3 b- A minimum of grade 12 diploma
- High motivation with good interpersonal, communication, planning and organizational skills
- Several years experience related to large materials processing plant or dredging operations
- A good working knowledge of OH & S regulations and thorough understanding of Loss Management techniques.
