4 J U" s q* t1 f亚省医疗协会主席称，该草案会使亚省医生在大概一年半后首次提高医疗费用，以此达到在经济繁荣的亚省留住医生的目的，但是这不一定代表对于病人的医疗水平会随之提高。

EDMONTON (CP) - A tentative deal that would see Alberta doctors receive their first fee increase in almost a year-and-a-half should help retain physicians in the booming province, but it won't necessarily improve patient care, says the president of the Alberta Medical Association. 6 S; X2 v- W4 N5 M) g

"It will keep physicians hopefully in this province. It will hopefully attract more physicians to this province and therefore has the potential to improve care," Dr. Gerry Kiefer said at a news conference Saturday. $ L0 |# u$ @% g) p: g& Z, Q' Q7 N
7 g8 K' t1 u( z3 \8 B"But to say that any fiscal agreement is going to improve that care would be making a huge assumption."
