Regardless of your age, you must have been physically present in Canada as a permanent resident for at least:

1,460 days during the six years right before the date you sign your application
0 _' i9 F& }0 J0 `) u; o183 days during each of four calendar years that are fully or partially within the six years right before the date you apply
( c& u# C7 J: \6 E0 G4 G" AWhen calculating how long you have lived in Canada, you can only count time spent after you became a permanent resident.

These requirements don’t apply to children under 18 where a parent or guardian has applied on their behalf for citizenship using the subsection 5(2) application form.. m% H2 [& d/ P
