Calgary police have now laid charges against an 18-year-old Calgary woman following the death of a little girl at a crosswalk in the city's northwest.
  h( P; l( c2 D) mPolice Sgt. Doug McIlwraith said Tuesday that Angela Ta has been charged with passing a motor vehicle stopped for a pedestrian at a crosswalk, failing to yield at a crosswalk, and careless driving.
, ?+ @, m/ ]0 n" G1 \McIlwraith says the charges could mean a licence suspension, a $2,000 fine or six months in jail.
( N# s0 h8 K6 m% m1 ]- b3 {- {- ZSix-year-old Jenna Chang and her mother, Ye Qiao, were struck Jan. 18 by a black BMW while using a marked crosswalk at 32 Avenue and 37 Street N.W.
