Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
5 T/ S  e( p, L! p  @- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
& l, m% {, ~, t& B' J( z0 V- Supervise kitchen staff
- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
1 R  ]& n5 i- X5 I0 F4 E" c- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
! Y; z9 j% f, a4 P; Q- Manage kitchen operations
- g3 D( G2 ~: Q7 ~; @/ P! R- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
; y8 A8 e- V7 o; X2 a; r1 Y- Work night shifts, as necessary
Requirements:
. r2 \$ c! j5 Y) R. v/ [1 l- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
- Good proficiency in English.
- Highly organized.
This is a contract, full-time position.
Working hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
Working schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
