Canada North Camps Inc. (14238 – 134 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T5L 5V8) is looking to hire a full-time Cook who could be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of food items while maintaining a clean and safe work environment adding to an all-around pleasant dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
- Prepare sandwiches, salad bar and other high quality meals
# w* n8 p  ]8 l' g& `- Supervise kitchen staff
" K7 p* M. l7 o! ^+ E& ]# S- Ensure kitchen staff follow company safety practices
- Plan menus, estimate food costs, order supplies
: @9 a0 j: _& i# n3 Q" Z; y0 ]- Manage kitchen operations
, [0 X2 E2 I  P; Q9 M: _' w' [- Maintain acceptable levels of food production
- Work night shifts, as necessary
Requirements:
. k3 i5 {2 D1 E# ~- Completion of college or other program in cooking is mandatory. Associate or Bachelor’s degree in restaurant / hospitality/ culinary arts is considered an asset.
( l% X. I  Y$ x( e# v- Minimum 2 years of previous experience as Cook in a fast-paced environment is mandatory.
' \1 q5 O$ Z2 t- H8 f7 L# K( h  H- Good proficiency in English.
- Highly organized.
$ ]. J: G( W3 d# p7 ]This is a contract, full-time position.
Working hours: 10 hours per day, 70 hours per week.
- F- E7 k1 {- y6 M& d& P" h  cWorking schedule: 21 days on and 7 days off.
- i7 e) c0 R# @) u# a2 `Salary: $160.00 per day. After 3 months of employment, medical, dental, disability and pension plan benefits will be available.
