3 q# R$ J# }& `: yPlan and direct food preparation and culinary activities
Modify menus or create new ones that meet quality standards
# _' M: N& ]$ l3 g/ ^6 LEstimate food requirements and food/labor costs
Supervise kitchen staff’s activities
Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
Recruit and manage kitchen staff

Give prepared plates the “final touch”
. q1 e" K( n# @2 q/ FPerform administrative duties
/ `2 o/ A  ]  B9 eComply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Keep time and payroll records
/ H8 o" i/ v: O, W7 n7 LMaintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Proven working experience as a head chef
& u% @- {( s4 v) y6 ZExcellent record of kitchen management
Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
8 x' d5 w" p" n( b- oCapable of delegating multiple tasks
) n0 T8 G- E' l! n) NCommunication and leadership skills
Keep up with cooking trends and best practices
- @( @6 ~; h# R1 p$ p" \Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS)
BS degree in Culinary science or related certificate
