Important note: The Ryerson HIM program is approved by CHIMA as a degree completion program for HIM professionals who are already certified. As this is a degree completion program, the mandatory requirements necessary for CHIMA certification are not all taught within this program and therefore those students of the Ryerson HIM program who do not have the HIM diploma background are not eligible to write the CHIMA national certification examination.
