No one was injured after a brush fire tore through a section of Edmonton's river valley on Friday night.
( b4 [5 d' [( h! _The fire started around 11 p.m. near the Wolf Willow and Rio Terrace neighbourhoods in the west end of the city.
, \' u) N. s: Q& Y9 D; E6 I2 SEdmonton Fire Rescue spokeswoman Sarah Meffen said 17 fire trucks were called to fight the fire. It was declared under control at 1:20 a.m., and was officially out at 3:20 a.m.- j' D% O( P# U5 q
The fire covered a large area of the ravine, Meffen said, but none of the nearby homes were evacuated.
