Uppal also defends bill C-24, legislation that allows the government to strip citizenship from dual citizens convicted of terrorism or treason. He said when someone has been convicted and served their time of a charge as serious as terrorism it’s common sense to deport them.& d6 e% n9 X5 M; b. x. H
“If we can have their citizenship stripped, because they’re a dual citizen, than I would rather not have them in this country,” he said.7 _9 }# W/ I2 `8 g8 m0 Z
