" S3 {" e7 M& vinformation is being circulated at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.

4.Dioxin chemicals causes cancer, especially breast cancer.

plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the

7.He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using
$ o6 d  ?0 j2 N: ^& e) F7 A* aplastic containers. This applies to foods that contain fat. He said that the
+ L# D, r( F# O0 T  ucombination of fat, high heat, and plastics releases dioxin into the food
+ i. O" b) x5 d8 F9 R$ rand ultimately into the cells of the body.

8.Instead, he recommends using glass, Corning Ware or ceramic containers for

So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be
removed from the container and heated in something else. Paper isn't bad
0 [1 s7 p7 `3 G* F: R6 c% qbut you don't know what is in the paper. It's just safer to use tempered
glass, Corning Ware, etc.

from the foam containers to paper. The dioxin problem is one of the reasons.

/ |+ U  |* J: m$ ?) c10.Also, he pointed out that Saran wrap is just as dangerous when placed over
foods to be cooked in the microwave. As the food is nuked, the high heat
! P; j! l! U4 P- d! R& _causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip
into the food.
