An ATV crash in western Manitoba has left a woman dead and a man, who was knocked into spillway, missing and presumed drowned.% W+ n+ g3 ?8 h. E- S
6 m- F# K+ L9 @% L' LAccording to RCMP, a 58-year-old woman tried to drive an ATV down an embankment by the Rivers Reservoir spillway, just before 8:30 p.m. on July 12.

She lost control of the machine and hit a 39-year-old man, who was fishing. The woman, from the town of Rivers, was pronounced dead at the scene.6 s0 c8 K) f' Q

The man, from Brandon, was knocked into the fast-moving water and disappeared. Rescue efforts failed to locate the man, who is presumed drowned.: W( {) [& L+ _
( _6 t v$ k% j) gSearch efforts and the investigation into the incident are both ongoing, RCMP said.4 {8 {3 f; a3 @% G& t

# O5 {) L) A b* U. DA Brandon man is presumed drowned after he was knocked into the fast-moving waters of the Rivers Reservoir Spillway on July 12 by a woman on an ATV. The names of the man and woman are not being made public by the RCMP.7 f" o! \* f% W; V& Z
, Y; j6 j, }1 X, J! i5 @9 h5 kRivers is located about 30 kilometres northwest of Brandon. It is near the Little Saskatchewan River, which enters the Rivers Reservoir, also known as Lake Wahtopanah.
