Job Description:         

6 e. u7 H- N. l' \& _% r0 f4 cJOB FUNCTIONS:

• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.

• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

, U9 J5 K; a# Y2 y1 P6 i% ^• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders.

* q  V, m2 V! X/ o0 U• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative.

1 d8 `! Y, ~0 b: l7 m2 J/ Y$ F• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

6 Y/ ^& |3 t$ Q0 j& P9 r• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.

9 h1 W$ t& w9 H! t• Maintain inventory of required parts and perform regular audits to ensure availability of parts.

• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

- _, `/ H$ z4 J8 ]4 d; ^• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

% U  ?6 a' ]8 r9 V0 t• 5 years of telecommunications experience.

• Diploma or Certificate in Electronics from a technical institute.

- S& a  v) }4 n) c% p• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

• Strong interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills.

• Standby, overtime and shift work is required.

The Manager is looking for a contractor with the following skills:

-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.

*The contractor will not be required to do any climbing This is for a large LTE Expansion in Alberta.
