• Support capital projects and network build activity with coordination, installation, and commissioning duties • Respond to corrective network problems, performing effective/efficient problem analysis, rapid troubleshooting diagnosis and prompt repair of equipment to ensure service restoral objectives are met.& r, ?0 o- H3 b8 s4 N

• Coordinate with other Technicians and departments as required to obtain maintain service levels.

! j! }0 N( E) I; H• Plan for and implement preventive maintenance routines to ensure network standards of performance are met.

• Perform cutovers and upgrades on the network as directed by work orders./ H0 F* s3 s0 F0 H9 p; e* }" m" b

• Maintain "up-to-date" site documentation as outlined by the EWO initiative." l0 \. f- m: X O8 {
# Q. g; [; n7 n3 m$ P) c• Perform acceptance tests on newly installed sites and equipment to ensure results meet design specifications.

• Microwave and Transmission experience (e.g. DS1, DS2 ,DS3, OC3, OC12, IP) • Gain in depth knowledge of key quality service indicators in geographic area of responsibility.& F6 i) V& W5 ~/ l3 {7 _

• Optical Fiber, SONET and knowledge of TCP/IP • Participate in retune activities associated with network optimization and build activities.6 a1 r1 w% c! z, s

! v! n2 w# X6 R- t• Administrative reporting of Mileage, Timesheet, Expenses, Equipment and Deficiency ticket updates etc.

• Test hand-offs, RSSI, transmit level on mobiles, dropped calls and investigate any changes.

• Maintain current documentation of site status, complete trouble tickets, incident report and other required reports.

• Shift work, overtime, and 24 hour on-call support may be required on a regular rotational basis.

2 W" m9 c1 G4 R-Telecom Diploma with at least 2 years of post secondary education -Experience working at a cell site -Must be willing to travel around Alberta (expenses will be reimbursed) -Experience with Spectrum Analyzers, Internet Protocol Analyzers, RFC testing and Microwave testing *The manager is not looking for Engineers.) \% V" b( i6 c! j% n% I+ K
