information that will make your transition to the University community

Orientation 2006 will be held on Monday, September 4th and Tuesday,

7 w; n+ i% s* R) j, V1 W( Jof volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically

4 m) r0 @5 ]! t6 Z9 ~" S0 bBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening ( L' e8 @" |& i A& o, \, o$ d
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend & I/ p/ |0 X S9 R5 _+ |
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday

1 L* A1 U# T1 Y8 a# [Hawrelak Park.) h& T0 v1 {( x6 w0 `. p, H, E$ h

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on
/ `0 E% N/ X! `5 B$ W' d+ h) TSeptember 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006, 0 c! p3 D, K- `4 M
and then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you . `7 f$ G& l& W5 r' d, n# C I
to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from
+ z5 i( P' B* M6 Y/ Qyour faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your ) v5 ]* |7 ^1 r( G) w! D4 k, d# O4 V
ONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
+ g- s0 R1 P9 Uyour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece 0 [0 a! a! T5 @8 t: X4 \. K
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
, i0 z, f! A) zComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic ' W3 p* o& ?0 |: Y( I& ^
Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and & S. r4 T6 p6 u
bring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
3 l9 ?6 B3 d. h3 vtwo days of Orientation).# o- a3 d# L7 B: _6 T6 `1 s( R
