Orientation 2006: The Action Starts Here! Your registration in the University of

(MUGs) Program; you have been signed-up for the 2006-2007 school year. By
! u4 B% y/ y! D9 R) Nattending both Orientation and MUGs, you will receive a great deal of & U7 k S i8 |% {! C; X' e# t
information that will make your transition to the University community ' ~0 q# |+ J7 X$ G& k. o

7 D: w+ B6 ` {# [8 c1 Lto find your check in location all by yourself, there will be hundreds
# J+ m8 d' P' U3 M7 P* ~of volunteers ready to help you when you get to campus. Specifically
/ d" G- @: A7 R0 W" alook for the volunteers in bright colored t-shirts, as they have a wealth - [% a/ G! W( |3 p& Z8 w9 H
of directional information.

2 [" H A0 \* _4 KBoth days run on a similar schedule, from 9:30am to 6pm, with evening - j3 V4 R1 q- u, l; i. z
activities planned for both days. Throughout the 2 days you will attend , U0 ^+ N/ i( U
a variety of sessions crucial to your success at the U of A. On Tuesday ) d. f5 s3 O8 Z5 z8 I
evening we host our highlight event, the President's Address, in $ H; ?8 G h9 P9 x2 j
Hawrelak Park.

You will also meet your MUG Leader and the rest of your MUG group on * [6 t- `9 o8 A. M& ?" I
September 4th, with whom you will spend the two days at Orientation 2006,
9 `( b8 S( A+ Rand then continue to meet with for the entire year.

Both MUGs and Orientation 2006 will provide many opportunities for you
. t/ K; F& U* p8 o& ^to get all of your questions answered and to meet other students from 1 U& i5 m6 P9 t+ m
your faculty. Among other things, you are scheduled to receive your
9 v; `$ i2 B, g& D" xONECard on one of the two days of Orientation 2006. To be able to process
. j6 P4 W3 e% m5 C+ Ryour ONECard, you will need to bring your acceptance letter and a piece % k* w$ k& K; b) Y0 I, j2 ^
of government-issued photo ID. You will also need to bring your Campus
, k( S8 S ~1 X9 ?& C0 V( EComputing ID (CCID), which was sent by e-mail from AICT (Academic
& q' i& b @+ m6 ]Information and Communications Technologies). Dress for the weather and
. t$ a( Y |" d3 Bbring either money or food for up to four meals (lunch and dinner for the
/ H- t0 z+ b. ]/ G2 Jtwo days of Orientation).7 r2 M6 k W( y3 o
