Business Development Rep Edmonton Market

+ H# p* o) T+ Q5 ]" MOverall function of this position is to develop the East Asian customer base of the company. The purpose of the Business Development Rep is to drive new business in his/her territory, while maintaining profitable sales

Key Responsibilities:
* ]5 I8 z o' E- s- v
• To initiate, follow up on and negotiate opportunities with potential customers for the intended purpose of ‘signing’ them as new business. This is measured through in-store customer sales. 
6 V, Y( {5 i: R! r7 S
• To develop the customer base through cultivating leads & opportunities and be able to convert these into regular customers.
, D/ S( [7 v5 g
• To be accountable via daily sales call reporting in real time, measured against territory growth (non-tobacco store sales) vs. the previous year.
! J" ?" l- i* [
• To execute focused selling in a large territory targeting the food-service industry, maintenance calling on high volume KEY customers in foodservice, convenience stores, small businesses, clubs & organizations.

• To execute the division’s promotional and marketing programs in conjunction with the overall business plan. Accountability via customer buying activity during the period measured through store sales.

• To manage all aspects of customer inquiries leading to regular store visits, including initial store tours.

• To build extensive product knowledge over various categories and be capable of driving sales in achieving sales & profit targets.

( t5 ?2 k1 ?+ A1 X. b7 ^8 e7 H• Ability to speak English and Cantonese or Mandarin 

4 P6 Z! d+ M. Y5 G• Proven experience meeting aggressive sales targets.
! n: ^2 W4 K% [
• Minimum of 5 years of sales experience.

2 E. ?% P; o* ^' @$ T3 E1 O• East Asian Food Service and/or Wholesale sales experience is desirable.

/ u v6 _; w1 [- X2 J# W6 }• Superior communication, interpersonal and relationship building skills.. w+ e3 z. L8 r+ p& U W' j

• Travel within the assigned region.

• Comfortable using automated selling technology in a daily setting – Salesforce.com
