Job Description:9 O. k( x5 R" J
To acquire and maintain a solid base of customers, attaining a high level of profitability for the property. You will be accountable for generating budgeted revenue through development and implementation of a sales & marketing strategy.; n9 j' X  a6 I+ f- ^/ i
  e, u: [3 ^: S# a7 G
• Solicit new business: Locally Negotiated, leisure, association, tours, sports, group markets and incentive travel through planned personal calls, mail outs and telephone solicitations.* b+ \- P. ~% e# r2 j
• Develop and execute annual Business Plan and Sales and Marketing plan to ensure top line revenues are achieved;* ]8 N: a# B+ f0 O. N# R
• Execute individual travel bookings, group bookings, small meetings and catering business;
, q$ L+ l5 M# j+ Y; g( B/ @7 d• Provide professional leadership to the sales team with a strong focus on achieving budgeted revenues;
) m- v% s( {5 p! U& D; R• Investigate/follow-up on all Sales leads maintaining an effective trace system in order to convert potential business, lapsed business and maximize on repeat business.7 g. A* G& f' r, k* y# v3 I
• As part of the hotel's sales team, assist in the creation, planning and organization of any in-house promotional efforts of the hotel;
) ~1 B7 x+ n; `- c2 H3 y( k• Work with National/Regional Sales initiatives;
# `4 @# m/ F, n( ]) N• Participate in trade shows;) e$ n" d/ e  b/ F% S6 M
• Attend public relation functions; Participating in community and trade boards and committees on behalf of the hotel;) k% E$ g6 X% m4 O/ w
• To participate in Revenue/Yield Management meetings; Increase Market Share;
$ x- Q7 z2 f5 S5 g• Maintain close relationship with reservations and front office staff;
) l7 I: F) ~2 O/ S0 o$ e8 O, K# N• Ensure top level delivery of expected guest service;

Requirements:
2 W+ ^3 K. ]$ ?•1-2 year of Sales or Supervisory experience in a Limited Service Property or Full Service Property, x. k0 T8 p: p
• Ability to deal with all levels of management, staff and businesses in a professional manner;
  h1 Q% r' C- g, v• Ability to lead and develop;
' v4 u$ n# l8 V# Q& Z# c5 E• Background in the development & execution of business, marketing and sales plans and operating budgets;- |5 O! F5 C) f2 t6 c5 y1 w2 r
• Proven record of development of sales and marketing efforts;) j" ^/ u! @* \& N5 h' H) ~
• Excellent oral & written communication skills; Strong organizational skills and be detailed orientated;. @; W1 H+ l1 Z2 ~' `6 f
• Ability to work within deadlines;0 ^4 T  U- f. W  S! [2 n6 u& U' ]
• High level of creativity and innovation;# j0 D0 p( a1 G
• Proven ability to manage multi-tasked assignments;
