Job Description
! w; ]2 s6 S8 C3 u5 n-promote the Centre and ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
) G5 G* \1 K, _8 H7 i# Z-promote Centre and ISP programs in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP and Centre
-recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
-promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
-outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
0 r& ~* M$ s9 Y4 }5 g- P-attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
-adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
-report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
-recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
-assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

; A# ]" C* q6 w6 \- b! E-degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
-knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
# @7 K* y7 N6 [: l/ P-good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
-fluent in English and Chinese
; e9 O' m5 X  J% ~-good interpersonal and people skills
-valid driver’s license
