Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

4 F0 r0 I  X( o4 ]+ ZResponsibilities and Tasks
1 \& B. b& P. H4 A+ S
-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
, T+ U. @4 i) G) o-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
7 M: t3 H/ ~! `) G- A-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
# r1 H1 K& p. Z% D-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
3 @/ s' T; z" e-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
5 J, U" K& `+ x% d& A-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications

' {- B* G7 p/ k3 m-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
9 |7 o/ E. d% a9 |3 c, K-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
$ A$ g0 R3 v5 W  h$ q-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
; ]  L* k+ Y+ h1 Q-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
# @# [% d  Y4 l$ ~. Y  c-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset
