Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

* u. d1 l' b# x' }1 [Responsibilities and Tasks

& A6 T& I, h2 v# ~1 b5 R) j" m; b- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
4 |; E. Z; B$ t- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
6 u) p7 y$ h P5 E- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
N- ~; X) G# B. f& ]3 y) L7 p9 r- Select type and size of pipe required
# p$ o9 n6 i6 |- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
% G. m3 `+ a! {4 B3 j( H- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
7 z$ k0 Y, w _6 `- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
3 }" o2 x, s% Y, C1 `/ x- Test system for leaks using testing equipment
Y6 N, D/ G4 R2 s- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system

- Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program2 V H: c( K6 e: `7 P2 i
- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business+ H2 _3 Q+ S, s% q" R1 p7 e

Required Qualifications. Q. o/ j3 M* u7 l/ g! Z2 w
, O# {: s m2 ]) c4 ~+ b- Completion of secondary school5 ^' S' K7 l- k1 I/ y
- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation 7 @5 V# v, e& R
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- s5 e6 u" s; H1 l2 |! C- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence( i. a2 h' h& O. \/ o" C
- Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
7 K* U: u- J5 v* y8 q0 l! u/ h- Safety tickets are considered an asset
& x. D' \1 L: ~' Q- Valid drivers’ license is an asset
