Location: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

; q, f' U4 _' ]# W5 ^Responsibilities and Tasks

7 L* J# d* R5 m  N5 r  X-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
5 {$ D3 d! o& i-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
( H3 P8 P7 o3 E7 D" s0 ~! a-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications

" S& S! k) M3 D7 ^-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
2 V( _" F' F( o, J0 u% [1 W  e-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
' N3 s+ T0 O+ b-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
! L- x. A! k! ]& b0 C. J# ~' q-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
-        Valid driver’s license is an asset
