3 P( |) @: Y5 \4 R/ b% TLocation: The job is based in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, however frequent travel to project sites in various provinces of Canada is required.

Responsibilities and Tasks

7 _) I4 [/ s3 F  ?6 r-        Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment  
% s- D& p) X, X* J. X-        Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements
) T2 [1 M9 K* ^" L+ {2 l! Q-        Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines
-        Select type and size of pipe required
; M3 v" M; N" F. b' {: U-        Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
-        Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
7 S8 L* K  w  m2 G1 P-        Install supports, valves, piping and control systems
-        Test system for leaks using testing equipment
-        Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system
-        Remove and replace worn components and reactivate system
3 I# A  Q: |/ ~7 S-        Actively participate in the Iyinisiw safety program
-        Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

Required Qualifications
& D! M# i& [6 {; t$ E
; D' Y% a) [9 ]' n5 S, {4 t  K-        Completion of secondary school
-        Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
5 H" H, b0 G! \8 O" Y-        Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
-        Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- d) o1 x; H5 s6 ^8 T5 b1 w-        Pipefitter trade certification is considered an asset
( R& Y6 Q, {' ~* P) j% [-        Safety tickets are considered an asset
-        Valid drivers’ license is an asset
, o  h  w/ n8 ]- W-        Interprovincial Red Seal is an asset
