3 ?9 m9 S' V! p" U% ^/ `- Connect piping systems to water mains, supply tanks, pumps, compressors and control equipment
( x* k7 q, q% [- Read and interpret drawings, blueprints and specifications furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form to determine layout requirements! E. C; _1 m. d2 o- [. `
- Cut openings for pipe in walls, floors and ceilings using hand or power tools or machines. J' m- F& @* Z4 {( ?0 c( [
- Select type and size of pipe required
1 n) z/ J( R* D! `# n" W9 S- r: c- Measure, cut, thread and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools1 K2 w9 z' ]) f9 w* _# n9 R6 e
- Weld, braze, cement, solder and thread joints to join pipes and fabricate sections of piping system
5 F$ g6 W) ?/ \0 x3 w P- Install supports, valves, piping and control systems

- Clean and maintain pipe units and fittings and flush system

- Other tasks related to pipefitting as may be required during the course of business

- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program of four- to five-years or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in pipefitting system installation
$ h- ]/ C8 r1 {+ g$ X; b: M+ X' U- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

- Safety tickets are considered an asset
