 Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures& c* Z, |8 j% O5 z( |7 b
 Rebuild and/or repair production machinery and systems on site
. e# I" T# J6 x- ^3 N: T Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment
K0 r0 C b: b Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools0 A w% u! y$ L O% ^
 Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls+ a y i4 R0 E9 }, G* H' Q" E' K/ d
 Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery

 Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
- ^8 O" l" p3 X: g Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery

- Completion of a three- to four-year apprenticeship program or a combination of over five years of work experience in the trade and some high school, college or industry courses in industrial machinery repair or for millwrights
! ?; Q. I5 I7 ^5 B- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals0 M5 R: F# G" Y# m: j6 R
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, ]% S6 ?: x% I# u7 t
- Industrial mechanic (millwright) trade certification is considered an asset
% R/ G; r3 ]' g, z4 S- Safety tickets are considered an asset

Required Qualifications

- A minimum of 5 years’ work experience as an industrial Millwright
