Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. / l0 p9 c& X; C7 X

Key Responsibilities:" q, |% ?2 p& z0 \
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
) G2 H4 j+ `# G- D$ F• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
4 `: K) u# d" z/ q2 r) C• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
# N% Q1 B3 x; O0 m7 n0 o6 ~- f• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
+ c! C! X! N7 Z• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents( E6 b! N8 @. C1 A6 g \) P2 J, b
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
: ^- ~% K; E x4 s• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events7 c8 ], ^" e; `$ J* c7 ^% b( @
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters. @4 T0 Y) S' O5 n
• Maintain front counter service files: G( g! V: r5 u0 b y
• Perform general office duties as assigned

" M! C! u5 R2 {Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
# E2 d U) O: I• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person. g* j3 f) s1 y) p: _8 ~; o9 [) o
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
; y( d$ {6 V4 J4 ~- E! p! W• Good English writing and oral communication skills! y% I6 ~/ z& o6 V8 |
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients: c4 e; B/ Q4 O" ^; x: s$ _
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook0 |2 ~( i* j: e. V- x" ]& s9 W
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

Qualifications:
8 T9 ^/ j6 S5 C• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
8 a( V- F' M3 j+ `9 M) p$ ?• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment% q$ s" J. T; Y& r: U
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
0 q" G9 h Y" L4 ^5 ]; `/ k2 {• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
