H3 L k9 P' j6 [Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
; O* @7 u- u# V% x• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
$ `1 D1 S) M6 I, T& Z• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately$ f+ V0 F, b- K( A% @, h
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter; s( F! `' p5 H$ L0 [
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents; I( \9 m$ ^, N# ]3 _: s9 B
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events' P# h! ^) j" ]0 @
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean7 z/ f" L7 h% I6 r8 G9 D
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Report to ISP Program Manager

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:' m) S3 Z/ F! M" h' x9 e/ E# ~9 K! S; U
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
8 l3 R' E7 }* E! }4 A* v• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
/ z( y, X6 f' b: v1 o• Good English writing and oral communication skills
( X1 g, F' T$ x8 j• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients$ S% ~4 _# m/ r
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
$ v; _( P9 D: P0 ~4 o+ ]5 C• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
: W" H6 e; N: n• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds9 {5 y' w+ M5 P8 _ i
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment
) y* v0 N* z+ g2 L" t1 Q; m: x• Knowledge of immigrant services, X1 c# g7 _9 V$ Q
' x3 O. f X5 a8 B! n& CQualifications:# o9 o( s. G) Y; J1 \
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
: q0 i1 m( n, y; f E# R' p• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
5 r: P# w+ |: L K; e1 @+ m2 V% ?• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
$ z1 R! c4 W. f) }• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
