Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person" q2 t4 g7 [3 ` X: |5 z
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST/ o' d$ @# W; `0 U; Z% |7 t2 p: q
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
3 B( H, r' B1 q) }• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter; l b2 `+ Q# Z) O! f3 x
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
) B! C8 S+ }, M1 i( y• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker1 P# ~ S6 y$ l/ Z6 I
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events% e m& E* z9 `0 E8 @) q6 C# Q
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

. h7 V9 ?( q$ d- Q$ v, X• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters* Q. T/ b- ?/ g N, e) a/ g4 ^
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
' z1 t; C+ b6 h- t" q0 e6 [% g• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
+ `0 F' K6 t$ p, E9 _9 N- J• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset( r; ?/ n2 S, o+ U2 X/ J$ \
• Good English writing and oral communication skills. e6 W; Q3 J. C+ v
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients& R, o b2 D" L/ N6 ^
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook7 T+ E& x5 t' w2 Q6 o, Q
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

+ g7 ]. ]$ X/ h0 o- C9 x& }• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience N$ X9 C, b @% Q5 r: x2 K
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
' m4 O+ M, o! b" t$ Y9 o9 @• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism5 H& I z( N0 m. w4 m) r
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision3 R; @, j6 p2 _$ B7 {8 e
