Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker

Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 5 P$ f7 [+ j5 q

Key Responsibilities:
/ g. [0 m5 e% j9 l+ {- w• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person2 @& R8 S6 \* j! r7 y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
5 u! u- A9 N( z3 v! \* I• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
( ]/ W" I7 x$ ?3 I• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
0 `( O& F0 A9 q! v* k% i* G• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
7 w2 v% L8 l, Z' h( L4 e5 @• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker& f) ~% `( Z) w. [0 g
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
( \. Z+ k! O+ t2 W• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
) J* R6 C" e. }• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
; e# ?3 F& ~3 q' f& J• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
$ ]* O( U* J6 N+ Y Y* e• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset1 c6 ^3 c, l1 M
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
! p3 l5 R3 I9 Y4 r* q; ^• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
" `; \3 K, ~( f; [# T3 m• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook; g# e+ c& i$ U3 c+ o- a/ n

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:5 ?% d9 e2 T6 m5 ], a4 f) l
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
z3 i5 S3 @+ |' P• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment: O7 [8 v& g/ }7 V& g
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
