) K9 `. }5 \' IPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person$ Y& D& T- S+ ?4 R2 _- o3 x
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
% f# ~$ a% J% X" l' `7 ?4 a) [• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately9 c! P4 L n7 |$ y% Z
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter/ Q* G6 Y$ o7 ~) \: T# J+ S
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents' ?2 W4 T+ R9 t8 c% n
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
/ M. H3 R* p4 B5 ]4 _• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
' c1 t* t- c6 p& R \• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset

• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients0 L# e' \# Y/ N. c3 m( w/ d
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience , @. w8 w d" l% j3 o
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment7 ]2 V$ a4 j4 P, l$ M
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism7 Q" }3 |2 m) J
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision7 t0 R7 b5 F. L0 A* Q
