Position Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
! g9 {2 P7 ^! Q$ _• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST! t/ _% s4 B# b& u l
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
; R i/ y( P$ _; n @6 ]• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
5 n* V) l. ^# r- E, t• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents$ a: I+ n! X5 x" w, t A& N: H
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker

' W: i& z- H9 {6 U) y' u( T• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

2 Y, _, f: i" V• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
6 g: e- l& K6 {4 c, V• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person& r3 s& p& B7 C3 \5 `7 X- ~3 T
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
1 T$ T b- ~. e• Good English writing and oral communication skills
' Z) R4 F2 _2 O2 {! v- |• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
8 y0 H- ~5 M; {, f6 i0 c' V" b* b• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook+ _" c% r: x B( F b5 A
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately - R( I7 G, D9 C" |* z
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds7 a7 H/ u& L+ I+ J c" E; p
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment+ R# e/ |- d/ y! _5 d
• Knowledge of immigrant services

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 7 T h% N9 f" d7 O8 ]- s: V
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment1 I% P& V8 \ G* X; I
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism! f) n" T; n+ Z( l1 b: l3 R
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision* f. X P+ Z9 k1 o$ L0 h# p
