- submit information for community news 8 W* P% g' s2 ^
- provide volunteers to update membership database" j- k' a( M4 |. s, ~4 m4 L- q
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
% F7 @- l9 E; F8 e9 J- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties% P5 ?9 S: K2 ?
- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties& v; I/ _% x9 }! {
- provide volunteers for various programs
; x2 K1 J! g: d: Z) N# Y9 |. C- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual' e( y4 N. \- l
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation9 m1 g, ?8 g4 M1 q) X% V
- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities2 V _, C' [, N- E) X' _7 u
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services, R% `: R( n0 s$ ~5 D; D2 v% u8 N
- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports# R* a# y+ o! M) V+ @# O
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed# h4 f" [- \7 H/ i, Z
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
+ i) W/ i* N1 X- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required); P- t U$ p; V! J$ ~
- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events $ ]6 v# g8 i' I& D
- development and distribution of a volunteer manual
6 n3 W& X1 N9 v3 ]; H- _1 r& w- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers . {- @2 ~; Q! s
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
+ F, V! y$ N' j/ i; e4 S$ O- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis ; P9 u7 X2 L, L+ q6 y+ p$ }
- evaluations

% o+ c' J1 M4 {0 R3 d$ j7 t* b- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education
$ F0 M# Q5 n T# \- good oral and written Chinese and English skills
& z' d- E/ r/ i4 U% K7 r- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services5 S+ K+ z9 W+ H- r1 }4 P- ?
- leadership skills6 R$ D2 z. ]. ~+ P* j2 _
- management and supervision skills( u Y- w/ g9 f# B- }$ `3 S! `" g2 o
