1 E6 S& t$ H2 X5 E- submit information for community news - Y" j" \2 x9 K' H
- provide volunteers to update membership database& _ u2 D% L$ W5 `+ R, r; |/ p u
- recruiting, performing security and reference checks, providing orientation, supervising, referring and placing volunteers
. M$ @, _9 d, j+ L f- train volunteers for ISP and provide duties
9 x ~- n5 w7 @% h- train volunteers for Centre and provide duties, u1 L! ?) B* h1 J
- provide volunteers for various programs
- N5 [3 b5 }, p8 t7 u- coordinate, update Volunteer Manual3 c3 d a |6 X V" e- R" }
- planning and coordinating Volunteer Appreciation
/ G* @4 V. _- N6 t" `1 f' F4 Y- participate in ISP department and agency meetings/activities$ u; `4 _8 E1 q$ ]1 C8 @
- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to volunteer services
- J2 I2 ~2 _- ^9 D8 g$ o3 j- assist in writing ISP proposals and reports# Y" d% R9 w/ y% i# P. a0 f
- provide volunteers for Centre activities as needed$ p( | V$ }* a5 W
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as needed
: y+ _' K- w% y- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)
# {2 `, V3 ?; |, Z: j5 ]& A' W- promoting volunteerism through various media including the 3 main Chinese newspapers, Chinese radio station and the Chinese television, Fairchild TV, brochures, pamphlets, booth displays, special events

- planning and implementing training sessions for volunteers $ c9 s" X/ O& Q6 E0 x
- planning and implementing training sessions for staff that work with volunteers
- H) v3 i+ g' s# Z9 {4 W- consulting and reporting to the Advisory Committee on a regular basis - t5 K; _4 F2 l
- evaluations

Qualifications" H! y; ?6 H% u' V! {& S2 a5 G n
- degree or diploma in Social Work, Sociology, Community Services, Human Services or related experience and education% `( {, z8 q W7 ]2 @. Q
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills3 E9 n0 f. g7 E: d( U4 X
- experience in volunteer coordinating and immigrant services
* d [5 W: [8 n4 ~- leadership skills( k1 i% U R5 R7 r9 }' H d5 C a7 y
- management and supervision skills, _0 p3 \+ i/ i# I+ x4 Q- F
- exceptional communication, interpersonal skills( r3 ]# y9 O/ o& v( G# H
