Position Title: Community Development Worker - ^* i; v* t: q5 f9 p

Key Responsibilities
3 n* s# ^9 @+ i4 C4 o! P0 f$ K- community development, liaison with mainstream agencies to provide services for Chinese community s, x2 |2 y ^. @* I
- workshops, seminars, activities that give Chinese population access to mainstream services6 c2 N) Y& a0 Q8 s% E$ i
- fulfill needs that are not met in Chinese community in terms of social services3 y( t7 `4 y* l1 r7 U& ^0 n
- develop good working relationships with mainstream and ethnic agencies

- coordinate and send out quarterly newsletter to members

- assist in special events coordinating: Open House, AGM, Volunteer Appreciation, etc.

- participate in external committees/conferences/workshops related to immigrant services2 L8 ~9 {0 v7 R& O* ^, o$ ]
- assist in writing proposal for ISP
7 c/ a, K) l6 p; L& B5 g- write quarterly and final reports for ISP

- hold regular meetings with ISP team2 ]* ~6 X+ p/ }2 @ O* I
- assist with Centre’s other activities or programs as prescribed from time to time& S: d/ q* l/ X% Y6 j4 z
- update membership database* I# s4 t! w" o3 V7 W4 `8 N6 F8 o
- coordinate good will activities4 v* d9 n( P6 d* D
- work flexible hours (including evenings, weekends as required)

- degree in social/human sciences with 1 year of relevant experience or equivalent of experience and education 3 c' y/ F2 t" J' p1 L% W8 m! x
- good oral and written Chinese and English skills

- B/ a' G5 Z* z9 E7 u8 `- ability to coordinate workshops and seminars
