Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker& b) b( S0 v$ Y, f7 v! Q

Position Summary:

J/ d9 w$ B/ l: ]' gWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

Key Responsibilities:
3 W3 Y( G2 u: x• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person7 h% N$ q4 P- ~+ n9 c8 }, J0 c# h) d
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST6 @( U5 @7 @; ]8 B) Y
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
9 o& M+ A7 B5 c• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
* L, C) N2 R3 [0 d• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents+ W0 R; M- ~. F# P/ t
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
! ]2 L1 x7 r1 y6 Z. Q• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events! t- b+ G! B& g% |) W( ?; A2 y
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

4 K' J8 [( ]+ \" L5 S• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters( k3 R1 N2 ^2 s3 c( z8 l
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:" q$ W9 z( W% w6 L' B! N. W; L
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person$ C3 l& _' B7 l5 B
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
. w9 Z8 W3 K9 ?1 X4 r• Good English writing and oral communication skills
* R9 b( E) y% Y& ?" l• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients8 }# S5 ~& P* t4 I( x: U
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook" K5 } V6 a% _7 B( A
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 1 c$ P& U' \6 ~: q; O
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds' t$ F. C; a2 x) m
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment. [, p/ Q/ z2 A7 L+ T( ?
• Knowledge of immigrant services

8 f/ C: L' _( P* _* ~• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
! n) H F n: c# k; j7 @• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
3 K% O( D, f9 ~! x! V; t• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism. K: _. e7 j& S& R- q" X
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision$ P8 d4 i) c& R: z D0 J8 O
