Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person4 X* `# m: |( A2 E, a/ p1 P2 S# Q" o
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
4 [' r3 N8 A! O8 G0 t0 A• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
& b! a$ x% B# x0 }: v9 _• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
& s* }2 y. B) l, H8 x• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
- l5 y; R! B+ j• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
/ A5 H) Y, M' C: ]9 D7 Z• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean/ f! a; s; z3 H$ d; ~4 F; p8 v0 a
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters: C* [5 W7 I5 m
• Maintain front counter service files

( A0 i9 t) c$ O- s. o. j3 R- q! bKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:1 O/ K4 s( a+ w! x% s! F, c
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
' j$ i# q% j* w4 J% j& v: x& {4 K• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
) M K& z8 L6 [. v• Good English writing and oral communication skills3 \ ]" U- R5 i* h+ B' q/ J( {, q. Q
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
$ k4 \9 G3 q" C) P" n P7 b• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook8 I% v& {+ V: {4 x5 T
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
0 V, y9 T" ^2 J; b! s• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
4 K, O3 r, M2 [& w* Q8 `• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
8 A* ^( r9 V4 i• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment8 P: x9 s1 H! o7 q. Q+ \- l t
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism+ D" J# ~* ^. x, S6 Z- e+ q
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
