' _& P& G5 g% @2 IWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

+ ~4 t6 H4 t; @6 h- R) f1 X• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person. R+ y0 m. H- l" p+ v( ]" x
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
- B/ L4 g2 z5 b2 V+ {) |• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately L) _9 {% {) T8 |5 }% h3 O% T
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter+ ?* C, I- q" r1 H) w8 `1 e
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
9 _, ?5 b. } M s. \3 l/ ?• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
+ V/ R! r, ]+ Z& L( s' q+ V) J$ h' }• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events* \& \ W/ E* Z& Y' N
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events3 v( p9 ?4 L3 K8 e
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean1 W8 E d+ q5 x/ ?$ [3 A( G
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset+ \& p' ^8 c% C& W o
• Good English writing and oral communication skills* k9 o1 t* R4 q# P0 X
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients3 x; I9 ]3 @/ a5 M1 f
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook
; n# Y2 K+ t+ }6 D a• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately 0 U% z- O. L6 E. X9 h
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds' o# ?$ E$ P3 W- p% @
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

/ f0 Y: v8 v9 I& V: Z• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
' c# m. \0 p2 U; g+ ~ o( A• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment5 N0 @' ?% }1 ]- x
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
- f1 K: p; o' P5 l, q• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
