Position Summary:
; K* y* B+ [$ Q0 i- ~/ p" oWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 2 @, C& m5 J1 }" L3 K- S9 n" i/ ~8 `5 o

Key Responsibilities:
w1 b3 \! t+ }5 n• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
5 B; V% X# o6 {0 k0 l8 s• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
7 m' L/ w: ~0 G. p; l' o• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately7 T2 R. b! K1 n1 P( H
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
$ s- U- X! C" Y; c* t2 k• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents" i7 I) k. ?, G2 Y! i* T, y
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
0 K* u8 O- n: P5 L• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events& j5 m8 m1 \& z" d
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters* p& W2 T# M' X" L. b0 Y
• Maintain front counter service files$ u W( a: U+ |
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:; D6 w& F$ _3 T; d: @7 b: q( D
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
. C7 F, X0 v1 ~2 M. o# j• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
# m/ N5 ]0 z/ ?; X7 e4 S) P• Good English writing and oral communication skills5 y2 S/ q$ H7 x/ e! y
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients% N0 t+ c) ]4 w& |4 Y; T
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook5 l7 y u7 I: i4 ]! v1 J7 c
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately . T3 X% a7 ^5 I
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

• Knowledge of immigrant services) \/ L2 n( N$ ^$ e3 i# ?+ Z

Qualifications:
, j8 m% I+ G0 b. w0 i• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience : W5 l1 Y% v% k p& g
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
( c- p! Q- K: a! \: r1 `* s$ n• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
# }5 `4 O+ I/ l2 H• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
