Position Summary:

O# I( Q0 mWithin the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. • Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person' e! J0 R& w6 |; d$ \ o0 F
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
3 l& J3 x$ a' B, r& L• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately$ X @- d: a" S) F3 H
• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
2 [" B5 \: x/ t* j& X• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents! d B7 J+ V, E& l5 |) O* A8 w
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker$ j+ W1 @ n. q. A
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events3 k8 V: c8 J9 Y0 @9 I
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events

. g. S* {' |" K) x8 c• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters

• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
7 W9 K9 A5 d& S0 J4 H• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person, k* E9 d( e% ]1 g' } g
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset1 D g( D8 I& @. `* ]/ p
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
' s: {' q% G% j• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
9 j+ r2 D9 u8 ^- q• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds

Qualifications:
. }. X3 ]# ~$ l j• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience 8 a5 Z7 s- T/ C! ?+ p! \
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
$ x( R0 z9 a5 k# g• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
% q% m y6 x/ o• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
