3 |: k) S+ @( p! ?# V2 {Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada and Alberta Human Services, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. ! p& w H3 Y: `; w$ ?2 P9 `, m4 H4 \

Key Responsibilities:( D; D& ^( C0 i3 Z& l2 U8 _
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person. R* V" x$ a6 E
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST- C0 u1 q0 s. y) u& T8 O7 @
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
$ ]9 x2 `1 s6 D* b4 D8 u0 g' ]• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
1 ~8 e6 K$ M' D- p8 a" @• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents8 N. ^$ ]8 k. m9 v. B T) [
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker/ \! [6 \- m; |0 n: G$ A$ S
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events+ n: d0 J6 r3 g; O
• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events l2 r& t" T& w
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean
& O! Z# a! y% i0 ?, ?; j• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters# C9 [3 @0 W6 o
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:0 J" ~) o$ m% s6 v/ g4 u+ L3 f
• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person9 F5 I8 b) j9 a0 ?0 p9 e: x
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
, q% X- \* [3 E8 p• Good English writing and oral communication skills, O# I7 R8 {$ P1 i4 x
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients) G% y- b8 A6 r6 C& R8 K% A
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook6 @2 }) |( @5 L1 h5 t
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately ) z# U. K/ Z/ ?( b- o: ^
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds. t" _5 G2 W/ }2 w$ j5 @5 x

• Knowledge of immigrant services7 E6 Z' w2 q1 h4 _3 R4 w! @& q) L) L3 B5 W

• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience $ G+ E% J. U4 ]+ l5 r7 ?
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
% w0 [5 n1 C, R0 e1 k: N• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism9 M; k# A9 [" G2 t
• Ability to work well under minimal supervision, {) k% P5 m' _3 Z' v& ?+ v
