% J. e0 g: H' q4 ^• Review damage report and estimates of repair cost and plan work to be performed
( h6 B$ g: S2 }/ G' l y• Repair and replace front end components, body components, doors and frame and underbody components
) |: e T2 r W6 r- x• Hammer out dents, buckles and other defects using blocks and hammers# f) \8 V: ]2 K% X: R
• Operate soldering equipment or use plastic filler to fill holes, dents and seams
7 i( I5 z4 {" ] N! A• Remove damaged fenders, panels and grills using wrenches and cutting torch and bolt or weld replacement parts into place. y* b+ k. o. s+ h5 p' m4 C- o3 x6 F
• Straighten bent frames using frame and underbody pulling and anchoring equipment
" T* |( y1 ~# ]$ Z- B! O1 r0 k1 U+ i• File, grind and sand repaired body surfaces using hand and power tools! Z2 V b5 W C. y& S
• Mask and tape auto body surfaces in preparation for painting# ]. \# ]& D1 @7 f
• Mix paint, blend and match colors, [, [% @6 d- e- C$ o; O* D- r/ h
• Apply primers and repaint surfaces using brush or spray guns, p% D {/ H1 D% S3 x. }
• Repair and replace glass components such as windshields, windows and sunroofs

Education and Experience Requirements:
9 L( c4 |: J9 p9 @9 {; I• Completion of secondary school is required
" i3 ]9 P- ^+ f% T: @9 l, a' I• Completion of a three- to four-year motor vehicle body repair apprenticeship program . O9 J* a' ~' o
or5 \$ W% H- ]: t' E: S+ o i
A combination of over three years of work experience in the motor vehicle body repair trade
& x( q9 ^$ `9 y. D; s• Alberta Trade certification for motor vehicle body repair (metal and paint) is compulsory 5 p- E2 W. `2 r& R1 Q- j
