Scope and Purpose of Job
* p4 B/ ?/ P* gEmployee would be responsible for handling all technical support for Lab Equipment systems (both hardware & software), to include lab testing & dyeing, dispensing, sample conditioning, and lighting cabinets. Work as the technical liaison with 3rd party suppliers. Work very closely with Product Manager on new product development for all laboratory equipment.
& h& n. @0 P4 Q0 v; S+ }2 HMajor Responsibilities and Accountabilities
: u7 Y2 y1 F& f5 r! R• Be the global primary contact for support for Lab Equipment Systems and liaise with 3rd party supplier on any issues.
+ g& Y S& h1 t/ N+ G+ }8 \1 C• Answering all technical questions concerning mechanical functions and software operations.
% z- \' e9 Z' M$ ]; @) s+ s1 l• Assist with troubleshooting ideas on technical and software problems% a2 O1 a$ [( g) B8 B# y% a
o Test all new patch versions of software prior to release; M1 k9 ]6 V( V
• Assist where needed in application questions.$ Z0 t6 G/ k! W, C" v0 j# R
• Check all technical documentation for correctness prior to field distribution.
, c: {% B H" ]& D; J# `9 eo New parts and replacement parts and installation procedures
6 K6 p! q7 r' ~8 ^o Translation to Chinese and other languages if needed

o Make monthly report to Product Manager and 3rd party supplier.- k1 ]5 U3 O0 x: p% w. @
o Recommend remedy to improve product quality and design.$ i; D# `! b; k9 s4 `* {5 B
• Assist Product Manager in all new product development plans for all Lab Equipment products. In some cases act as the Project Manager for new product development.( E( C+ C- F# }) J
o Run field Beta test sites and any new idea testing and make reports

o Assist in writing and new product specification, @ N' g6 ]3 X. K
o Point of expert contact for implementation of features/functions.5 e& y* Q+ C) D, O' d" _% t
o Act as technical applications expert on development team.& S6 [2 z8 D( Z6 }) R h
• Assist in Sales support & training.
9 z+ o0 _5 Z6 r) h5 K• Responsible for any technical training needed for products, either given by the supplier or actually give the training in person. To use both Web-based and on-site training tools.9 k% I) \7 Q" z' y
o In rare cases where no other solution exist to travel to customer site to solve technical issues.) O6 x, d% k" r% \) \
