% K) j1 `; Z4 a# DPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. 1 ~. ~/ `5 s) D1 o7 Z& n$ C

* [! J. z+ R4 q# j% a+ C; d) H• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person: l/ s8 u: T$ ~9 a. k
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST+ j* y) a2 F5 j2 o N
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
4 u1 t$ k( M2 {9 H• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
0 w5 V, N P3 }( C4 g• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings# V# @4 Q( V, t' e3 \% J
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
1 W& }. U+ b' `9 U4 L8 R. C; s• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
- P, ^! ^; Y% d• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
- V' G- u) f: `3 ?, H$ k• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events
; r7 p5 X L6 G. Z* u• Keep the reception area tidy and clean9 `$ _& z8 a _- X8 v
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters
; S# y' A; z" e7 }4 J0 D! l• Maintain front counter service files8 ?5 K- g3 v$ _% h) l
• Perform general office duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
/ p1 c: O' \$ a; j7 P# j! _• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
9 y7 g% a4 M( {/ L1 G e• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset1 z. p& \" s) Z' R6 K" O3 O
• Good English writing and oral communication skills
. e8 A; z- g3 B5 z1 g/ Y+ M• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients3 F& J" x0 v6 k
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook% ?6 Z4 b( Y. t- j
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately % N1 U. k1 _ A
• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds, H4 r' B U, M+ X! q3 E
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment8 L# d" R' p! t$ X6 y7 G$ P- j/ f
• Knowledge of immigrant services
9 d" j$ D# i; z( lQualifications:
4 C6 Q2 S' b9 f* M$ y4 e; H" H) |• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
0 L p8 v- f- ~• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment
; N. H1 z; I9 \) T• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
- M/ ^9 `) U, N" _9 f' {9 W• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
