& F6 M i* ^( W( a q% aPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker. $ d* x: u! Key Responsibilities:; e/ \, `" h" O1 x9 u
• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person
- D$ q! D# z" N3 \, y; V0 Z( O/ \• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST
& s4 ?' f/ Q/ [; O• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
/ v3 X$ Y4 t; s( P• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter" B( n. k! }& a! e
• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings- W0 z$ ^+ r0 J0 l7 o8 ]
• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents' @# B. x$ s4 r6 \* C
• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker5 ?( q+ t- I6 q! \/ t, L
• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events
' R" U: v' Z* A$ j4 Q1 E• Assist the ISP team in reminding clients to appointments of workshops or other events0 ]& {& e" ` a* j. |% ^
• Keep the reception area tidy and clean g1 U, I9 N# }8 w: U [
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters. a q! s! q, ~) s) ?/ f
• Maintain front counter service files# [ o- h, Y6 p8 p
• Perform general office duties as assigned

• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person3 n" j* J: s! C+ U2 \+ {! b
• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset" ?& o, Q* z6 S+ r2 T* M- k
• Good English writing and oral communication skills$ u4 z6 T" z8 w( [2 d4 D( B) ?4 d
• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients' F, D# [5 d/ m9 ?! Y: g% }, C$ Z
• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook

• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment

Qualifications:( q5 ?0 V& [& `* q9 q
• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience
6 O! x' o$ Q6 _- t0 z; c• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment: n B6 l, |) \$ H! {6 N' ?& m1 o" ^
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
6 _* F; |, c& p( _" r6 U5 @• Ability to work well under minimal supervision
