Position Title: Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker
R# I' o% ~( qHours of Work: Part-time (10 hours per week)

WPosition Summary: Within the broad guidelines of Integrated Service Program funded by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, and Alberta Employment and Immigration, the Receptionist/Immigrant Services Worker will answer a multi-line phone calls professional, politely, and directing the calls correctly; assist in clerical needs of the ISP team; assist with providing counter service and act as relieve to the other Immigrant Services Worker.

; ]" l9 j d1 _4 ]• Answer incoming calls and route calls to appropriate person w/ C! V; V {# _0 I# }) Y
• Take and deliver messages to the staff of ASSIST \ d9 h i/ a0 J( i
• Welcome clients and direct them appropriately
6 q9 {4 Z3 l! B \$ \• Order and maintain office supplies for the front counter
+ I5 j2 }1 Z: S& F* P6 D• Oversee the front counter when other front counter staff are on holiday or in trainings
- Y0 l+ J3 l" _" j• Perform general clerical functions such as photocopying and faxing documents
9 z" x/ f% p% n! f3 B! V2 u# F• Provide assistance to immigrants and clients seeking settlement related services in the capacity of immigrant services worker
* }" t$ P1 F' F$ V• Maintain and update the information boards with upcoming events

• Keep the reception area tidy and clean- i5 k- M9 B: a) |
• Attend meeting and training to stay current on immigrant settlement matters5 p8 {8 s3 {$ x/ \, y4 [
• Maintain front counter service files

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
( O! {' m, g& j• Excellent communication (verbal and listening) on phone and in person
/ [. W1 A9 P" z. L/ `; M, v• Fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese as an asset
- I8 h" J0 I7 S$ {• Good English writing and oral communication skills
8 F, q5 {6 O0 V" k• Ability to work with newcomers and general clients
( G, [" U8 n+ t) |* ~7 ?• Microsoft Office operation skills- Excel, Word, Outlook) W: E% `7 f! y9 a5 f# c
• Ability to address multi-task and set priority appropriately
& E+ u, x" O$ e0 n- P0 r• Sensitive to the needs of immigrants with multicultural backgrounds) U/ a5 j, @% |8 K# u ?& A
• Ability to work effectively in a fast paced office environment; l1 @5 R9 U! g
• Knowledge of immigrant services
! Q! ]0 f9 p8 [: fQualifications:
' C9 i/ k! e9 F" F+ m• 2-4 years of office and clerical experience & p! C+ a P% A- E6 j# Y6 @
• Receptionist or customer service experience in a fast paced environment& b( o! B6 Z: [1 B
• Demonstrate workplace maturity and professionalism
" q0 d7 d7 m/ m1 w& ^4 O6 A• Ability to work well under minimal supervision, c$ q: I, j$ \
