The Supports for People with DisABILITIES Program requires a 48 hour Weekend Worker for the Northwood Residence. This position will provide residential support to 3 men with developmental & physical disabilities and personal care needs. The hours for this position are Friday 11:00pm – Sunday 11:00pm.

Responsibilities include:
0 i1 C. u3 {, P9 h5 z. A( f  c• Acting as a strong advocate for the individuals in the community
• Program implementation
' c# E) J! d5 }1 A% o• Completion of daily documentation and data collection
• Facilitation of recreation and leisure
• Personal care, including lifts and transfers of individuals
• Behavior management
) }6 p7 @0 M1 g1 M: H9 _: c5 R• Medication Administration
• Day to day operations in a residential setting, including meal preparation, and household cleaning and maintenance

Minimum Qualifications:
Education
• Completion of a high school diploma
, Q9 ]& g0 Y! W6 F' v9 Z- j$ @• Six months of experience in the Human Services field
7 L$ D+ T6 J( B) ]8 m& I/ GTraining & Clearances (*Available from McMan at no cost to the employee)
• Security Clearance Check including the Vulnerable Persons Sector Check (within the last 6 months)
3 {# X% J1 d9 s' T  q( K• Children’s Services Intervention Record Check (within the last 6 months)
# w1 D$ O$ a5 U/ h- U• Standard First Aid with CPR
2 ?( n" V7 i9 |+ e- }: y) M1 x% U( |) f• *Suicide Awareness or Suicide Intervention training
# `/ x3 V( O' O5 ?9 r• *Non-violent Crisis Intervention Training
• *Medication Administration

Skill Sets
• Good verbal and written communication skills
# \- Z$ K  q4 n0 j• Experience with personal care
1 i! a: G; R" @' n• Ability to complete physical lifts and transfers of individuals
# K6 G, _; X2 e/ s) d0 ^Salary: $13.43 - $14.25 per hour, plus benefits beginning day one of employment
