9 o& O. h! E1 e. UYWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties. f: O( j# o+ {
Job Responsibilities:

• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired7 v& S3 ~& \1 ~) x, T
• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll% E0 X, Q. d" O, A8 m2 S
• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records 0 Z1 I: A# U7 Y: P6 U! {, b) L3 \' ?
• Input benefit deductions into payroll
9 s) t# R- O/ f. \) }* c3 B# a( b$ y+ h! m: M4 C7 C
Reporting duties: b) p) |9 W | u8 ~
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider O B( j/ T V( k U+ T' k
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
) }. ]- T, v' K& J• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s
. }$ A- g/ a5 n) P, p4 T• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

Compliance:/ n% H- X4 k% j! F- S- h
• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll & N2 g# c) Z' d2 z; E5 A
• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll., @- j! n1 z4 G. d5 P( ?4 p
• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
; ^% i) @, ?1 s! f0 `( e7 h• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting* W7 x" D9 W2 r8 b, u' |

Accounts Receivable:
# H; V o5 k/ U, p/ v- b9 f• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit. u8 W) T2 f0 q+ b
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
2 P9 {* a8 c" q• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
! w/ {7 V7 R9 {, ]$ p. s• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing) `& I1 t6 t9 o& v# g

Qualifications:* _1 ^1 \* u$ b @
' U* ^! H& N7 T9 N% l• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP0 g8 D& i5 ?( ~% b- V0 n" q
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
& d0 Q; ]" m$ j% @• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position
) y4 r: l, k! _# ?! H$ t• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office
- o7 U/ V/ J4 i3 X; ^. a• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work1 c# Z( j/ E5 r# I7 K; p0 G; t; E% I# ^
• Establishes priorities, meets deadlines, and works well under pressure
