2 G; J; _, I* @YWCA Edmonton has an opportunity for a permanent Payroll Administrator position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the processing the YWCA payroll, accounts receivables, and other finance related duties.

0 u# @8 n$ @( c4 zPayroll:
* h; {+ i/ A1 T h1 P3 ^3 S" M• Verify and process required documents when a new employee is hired
* H, J; D2 ~8 ~! s- {• Prepare and complete the twice monthly organization’s payroll
, }- q4 f }4 s! V) z/ m( Z• Ensure the maintenance of confidential up-to-date personnel records ' e# ]) R9 L) p6 H5 R
• Input benefit deductions into payroll% T% S) ` i' `, z0 [3 H/ [
8 _- Q2 K2 @) R' }Reporting duties: U3 T# B; b+ n/ o- E$ k
• Prepare RSP contribution file and send to RSP provider6 s5 T; n6 ~% o! i
• Prepare New Hires report for Statistics Canada and upload it onto the Statistics Canada website
* H8 U2 T* {4 j. Y• Reconcile payroll to T-4’s and T-4A’s and prepare and send T-4’s and T-4A’s5 f* D$ X6 o! m! B
• Reconcile Worker’s Compensation Board expense to payroll, and submit Worker’s Compensation Report to WCB authority

, K6 R; R8 ?/ z" v# C7 I/ U9 r/ ]• Ensure compliance with Canada Revenue Agency’s regulations regarding payroll
& M5 f0 D! {: Z4 X/ E• Ensure compliance with Alberta Labour Standards and other provincial regulations regarding payroll.
2 D# p! D$ d" }6 a I• Ensure procedures for safeguarding and releasing personal information comply with Freedom of Information and Privacy regulations, provincial privacy legislation and YWCA Edmonton Human Resources Policies
" z1 p1 B3 D2 Q; g7 u• Act as information liaison between Worker’s Compensation Board and managers, and ensure compliance with Worker’s Compensation Board reporting2 e, Q, t) e3 J6 P2 q+ c
, y$ D$ }0 J+ D6 F3 cAccounts Receivable:' m0 F9 S7 `. h. n; X7 B
• Complete data entry of all receipts, cash and direct deposit I! ]& S8 |$ |& a2 I; o/ Q" ?
• Note discrepancies between receipts and invoicing, and communicate discrepancies to appropriate department
1 L( h5 C: e' r( v9 }" ~- J% q• Conduct debit and credit adjustments up to a limit of $10.00 and ensure manager’s approval is required for adjustments
( J( j# x! D6 x( ]2 X3 q* o• Prepare and complete miscellaneous third party billing

Qualifications:
( `! m6 \8 A- o; n0 L/ ?
9 P3 \4 U" @: O$ T; r0 B0 B" w. ]• Post secondary education in computerized Accounting and Payroll Programs including working knowledge of Accpac ERP, {* A, m0 e0 @! K$ q
• Completion or in process of completion for certification by the Canadian Payroll Association
/ |* c+ T% Z* ^. O w% i. c/ e• Minimum 2 years experience in a payroll related position' Q, i' O$ ^' m9 ~0 @8 `) X
• Proven experience with word processing, databases, and spreadsheets using Microsoft Office" O9 C0 C9 x! Z( k3 q+ N
• Detail oriented and demonstrated accuracy in work
