% Z! b% b' E+ k* ^0 Q3 |( f, oAdvocate Non-Violence. YOUCAN has served youth in the Edmonton area for the past
) B  j6 `& @% s5 ?' V( @nine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to
peacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.
The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded

( L  u# l/ J; f7 H3 [9 R4 F& Bproject that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased
/ u- ?! g6 F& G4 X$ hemployability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
! D2 w, \! N1 b# z; SThe goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
, }8 ?  f( j9 X( }+ @participants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
1 j6 Q6 ~/ y- d7 K( g" p/ ^) W* N3 _6 mpersonal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
, F( L( q8 Q5 {/ E& `Additionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the
YOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
