2 ]4 \+ J% g) o7 N: Q  v# X! MAdvocate Non-Violence. YOUCAN has served youth in the Edmonton area for the past
( B/ U1 N0 O8 f# A8 Lnine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to
peacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.
The YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded

& q! \: d1 u& {& N" `& y3 n- {7 ?$ Tproject that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased
( S3 F9 |7 M! ~3 p$ O& I% m! {employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
$ Y# z; H$ }- S8 V' CThe goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
participants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
* [* l# M4 B9 I; y" Kpersonal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
Additionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
follow-up once the program is completed.

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the
YOUCAN office, located at 11124-130 St. (Westmount Jr. High School) in Edmonton, Alberta.
