Advocate Non-Violence. YOUCAN has served youth in the Edmonton area for the past
- H2 L& F$ v  v: n6 E' b: x# ^2 Nnine years and our mission is to equip youth to engage and inspire others to
peacefully resolve conflicts and develop healthy relationships in their communities.
$ Z6 |; `5 X  m* K. cThe YOUCAN VERTO Project is a Government of Canada and Government of Albertafunded

& |# T& l- B  ?8 `3 dproject that will bring at-risk youth together into a unique 15 -week groupbased
6 K  \7 E# g2 ?/ ]employability skills program entitled “The VERTO Project”.
) O+ B6 D! H9 I/ AThe goal of the VERTO Program is to assist participants in obtaining and maintaining
the skills necessary to bring success into their lives. Verto program will expose
: O4 v. A% P+ n+ N9 ^' t2 R: Kparticipants to a wide range of components focusing on: employment development,
personal wellness, technology learning, conflict resolution, and exposure courses.
Additionally, we will incorporate topics around health and wellness, volunteerism,
and leadership courses. Verto youth will be provided with a six-month employment
follow-up once the program is completed.

Verto project will run from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday at the
