1. It's cool:cool
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
% T# t) g3 ?# \0 d! B' d, T
7 y$ k/ `4 E4 ?; x2 z/ ]2 Q  That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.- }' D3 O4 J% {) O, f

9 q/ A, j' c  i( x; m9 ]* l$ b! S  Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)
5 L( ]5 B0 g% E9 h4 {# z4 |3 i2 V' r& D. B: ^2 g
  主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。

# H, _, _0 l( i3 o4 c) E  She (He) was cool in the past.
) a5 s' v% d: u' ^, `, u2 [1 S. k4 e* y
  That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫)5 p' \$ \( [9 b' z) R! ?1 `
% q! m7 E% |+ M1 G. x% A/ h
  He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)0 _  t3 |6 a+ r6 a) H
+ T' H1 u. ]# N8 B( X+ v: o
  但是如果说:Are you cool?
& e: L( q, [0 F+ k% R
& M7 B! H! I2 v  E* q  She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not7 V/ ^! u4 a) V% L

3 q8 k- F( W+ a+ Y  emotional.
6 A' m$ |0 \+ a/ p" }; k6 b0 x: o) y' E1 F, {# E
1 o+ `" z$ P  T8 K( H' y+ R
3 m; j# L  ~: [$ |3 P* l  2. Are you trippin'?:trippin' 这个字,是由动词 trip 演变而来。 这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)

8 n- y7 K4 D0 }# |0 Q8 q0 `  They are trippin'. (= tripping)! y5 t; A1 D4 m& o& H. y, e

7 r, U5 R0 B. E* U  y  She (he) is trippin'.
3 H, d% ^8 ?6 |2 I
# W7 ?2 e" B: `# C/ \' z" K  Mr. A must be trippin'.
$ |. w' d2 b- O# S
+ y' i6 i3 f. 8 p2 {7 |! v; h
1 P4 l" t, r, K
  3. He is a nerd:nerd (A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.) (IQ = Intelligence Quotient ; EQ = Emotional Quotient) nerd 可用复数,动词也能用其他时态。
% _: `" C! H8 {5 U) N6 w3 V, I+ l8 W2 k2 `: G
  He used to be a nerd in high school.
$ m. R: x5 e: q" E+ G' s& l+ C, Z, b/ V* b& k# L& e
  Many Chinese students are(或 have been)considered nerds.) _  E/ l" f) F# c

, |3 D+ k$ @1 q& Y  D2 _
: E3 D4 p" N+ B& b8 z/ Q/ U  He is a computer geek. (意思是:虽然他是书呆子,但电脑很棒)6 y  ~) q* ~. d' a8 D! A
) s  Y) J% W/ y  e8 p# @4 t
( x# e3 ^/ u8 v# y0 J# Y1 ]' J  L( j6 h1 l& h' n1 ~. L* z
  I don't like him because he is a jerk., w7 i; s- [( J) W- b9 P: z

" n* m( y4 [+ Z& H3 \1 v  I+ S: @  也可以用复数:" l2 e- _9 A# i, F
$ B9 ^: z1 ?" N5 e" x
  Many jerks are working in our company.
7 ?+ q! l7 H, h  k: y* a3 u; @0 ^) s6 K- O$ V
) e* v% W% l9 A, S' g. F2 _9 ], P) c
  They are jerks; He was a jerk in the past; Mr. A has been jerk for years.4 \1 T, ?8 ?0 \+ ?
. Y2 J) W+ L# \7 p! ?; N
  (注:有时年轻人也用 dork 这个字,但不如 jerk 流行)( @, P# A! H. s2 }7 c

( h2 _, K4 _: C$ B. C  4.

(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
! \  \7 {9 y( \; W6 E/ f
( f) V4 B3 d  E3 s  Yo baby, are you trippin'?

9 Z6 U5 ]; r: [; f9 g8 Q& j  May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.4 X& J( R3 c( U# @8 W* \# w2 X

' x7 X+ ?3 _, a  同理,如果年轻女子看到帅哥,有吸引力,很想与他交谈,那么就用:“Hey, hey, hey" 後跟任何可以「打开话匣」的句子。诸如:) U3 }9 f5 y% }; v- n: u( n

. i7 C  Y# l* m4 Q5 Z, _  Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?). b" Y& r4 B; r6 Z  v  {
6 N+ E+ x0 P9 T
  5. Catch you later! (a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)3 q  r+ \& v; Y  m( w" q9 J

: Q+ v! F+ B; [/ T6 r- v  有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. 意思就是:I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.% I8 r- F$ [, [- r4 N- y
9 K- A( u; \. V& o+ H9 S
