1. It's cool.
1 r1 m) i" v* I1 h  ~' T1 N
(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
6 b' e, F+ Z* `4 E. ^5 V    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool.
" J; [  N: f2 T' V    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)* S1 B1 w. \# z- d0 S7 P5 I8 k

- A/ A5 M  W7 r8 w: r# s主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
8 u+ F1 V6 I2 y    She (He) was cool in the past. # I4 e% U- X# ?0 X( j; ]5 {
    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫) 3 @3 \" T* I. @8 ?. l, B; V" O
He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
% _5 K! j/ }' V( w. {0 D) Z( Q+ G# z' c/ l
但是如果说:Are you cool?
    She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not ; o% D% |# h  L5 `/ o
    emotional. # s* T: p9 h4 L  Y6 `
    (注:许多华人把 cool 译成「很酷」) % {/ V- a" y' Z% y+ ~% h8 w- |

, I/ X6 S  ~6 G, D2. Are you trippin'?0 P1 r- [  o. g# n/ X# P* d
9 j' d& f# u, A% U
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
8 i6 s* T3 u, o  W! `    They are trippin'. (= tripping) # k, b% D& Q8 b: ~, U& n* ?& _
    She (he) is trippin'. + H; B! }$ N# W+ u; h. _+ G
Mr. A must be trippin'.
1 C0 b2 j, K5 f. I  Y0 V/ Q 2 A( v6 Q; [# q% _- I
3. He is a nerd9 [" z4 Q$ @+ o* C
8 l1 a6 d# W) p3 ?% \# p
(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
, s5 M; t- K9 P3 ?* h    He used to be a nerd in high school * {7 B3 m) P  Z: i# m

, ?) w6 I( `2 J2 D! G3 F4. Yo baby
9 ~9 w) F( K0 G. T; c( o2 N
1 v' E/ p5 q& o* ~( y, t!
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说: 5 l& O' S2 M) u: q: F; ?
    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
May I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before.
诸如: 4 @1 Q; ~5 @9 P' ?% i, [, |
Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
8 d0 y3 x0 _% k& p9 u  Q& M# M) {# w8 p* }9 s
5. She is a ho* D5 y+ P5 @' d2 i8 p. m7 Q4 I- i
% x- C; S! j9 ~0 f
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。 ho 也可用复数: ) ]) c. t% x3 X( ~. h' l9 ]. f3 J
    They are (were) hos.
3 U9 v2 a7 Z# F; \4 U! y    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.) " z% x+ N, V+ p7 [

& v% l! q4 ]7 S% {$ q5 M1 `6. Catch you later!* A" h0 Q- q3 O( T5 f& b* ]$ e
7 U: u/ x" t8 {" y
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等)
' D! }9 W4 l; E/ w% U9 S有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again. 5 O7 z9 k4 U7 u/ a# Y
