1. It's cool.6 t# Q9 z7 n5 J3 F( b: h: h

(可指人或事物)也就是 something good or acceptable;situation is under control;being calm, gentle, courteous or good-looking;meet teen's standard.
) D+ M' L: ?$ R1 V7 x# m& H    That's cool;he is cool;this is cool. ' ^) L% W. M" n' l3 j
    Skydiving (或surfing) is cool.(跳伞或冲浪运动很不错)% A' z' `8 B% o+ j* F# ~0 O
1 h) ~* y" ^. G0 Y
主词可用任何人称的单复数 (I, we, they 等),动词可用 verb to be 的任何时态 (is, was, were, will be, have been等)。
  D. e+ L  e  ]3 r8 w* n    She (He) was cool in the past. ' q$ t3 b3 @$ \8 S
    That's a cool T-shirt.(好看的运动衫) ( V- p+ [" P6 q& Q8 D7 n+ ~3 L1 v
He (she) is a cool person.(文雅礼貌的人)
, z7 ]" T$ Z: N
7 M2 y# z1 n$ c1 }. H3 U0 ^但是如果说:Are you cool? ~# [1 [8 q2 f, a
She looks as cool as a cucumber. 又是恭维语,是说她很 calm and charming; not
6 _# ?1 \. y* v3 ^6 D/ ^    emotional. ) `& W, p0 S- i5 I% {# r, I
  @  _  E. L1 f9 H# |, S 7 q" a7 s  x6 h
2. Are you trippin'?
/ Z6 r# B5 b( M# ^2 i( |) b4 u! B6 ]$ u, C% J- W" F
这个字是现在分词当形容词用,是指行为异乎寻常,也许受到吸毒或喝酒的影响,而显得神魂颠倒、奇形怪状(to get high on drug such as LSD),也就是说:要不是受到药、酒的影响,你为什 显得这样古怪呢?(Are you under any influence of drug or alcoholic? Why are you so crazy and bizarre?)
    They are trippin'. (= tripping)
+ m# a8 C2 R! F8 N, E) r# C6 ?1 k) ^  b    She (he) is trippin'. " |& E$ {2 j* g! f/ J, [% I
Mr. A must be trippin'. ) t& F9 I4 C* }$ I7 D
# ?/ G, O1 Q; D) i2 s+ w; u7 e

, \% R1 s; L9 G, d# m, q2 a" |5 J3. He is a nerd+ B0 s) p2 Y6 i$ L+ A+ ?1 ?5 E- }

(A person always buries his nose in books, but not good at social situations.)
. ^9 ~/ k/ R6 |8 w( _. S    He used to be a nerd in high school
: S/ u( Q9 L! }  h2 `( L6 {& j  e
4. Yo baby
, n! d1 s4 L; m* n( {
(He thinks she is pretty and attractive, so he wants to speak to her.),也就是找话题,想要「打开话匣」。(to use as a form of opening line or pick-up line or to begin a greeting; try to know her or date her) 如果说:
- m- G+ f/ X- q% }: N    Yo baby, are you trippin'?
/ Y$ h& }1 U; l4 m( H0 TMay I help you with something? I think I have met you somewhere before. + g% n3 }( i3 o% }. o/ T* `
Hey, hey, hey, what's going on?“what is going on?”就是年轻黑人打招呼的用语 (a form of greeting or open statement) 或 Hey, hey, hey, are you going to the movie?(帅哥,你是去看电影吗?)
# m3 A5 m: E" H0 i; L% ?
) Y) F$ s: z  a, Z0 U' O( I1 Z5. She is a ho
7 k! ?6 U8 C5 o& A# P% l& L. m- O# k4 p
(a girl or woman gives sex freely without charge),也就是说:She is very loose. 或 She is a loose woman (girl)。
! P. X, M  _$ J3 u    They are (were) hos. ( X* ~* L; c$ X; G8 x- [
    There are quite a few hos in high schools. (a girl or woman is paid for sex.) ! a3 g% \; a. `) B2 }/ b

% `  ^4 ^; p* c6. Catch you later!$ w2 _: f' b" w3 C0 u; ^! L+ `
9 _/ Z( @! \! H4 R6 s
(a form to say“good乡bye”) 也就是说:现在没有时间与你交谈,以後再谈吧!(I don't have time to talk with you now, but we can talk later.) catch 後面,也可用其他人称代名词(him, her, them 等) : X* T3 o8 m% u
有时年轻小伙子也用:I am off. I am leaving now; I'll talk to you again.
8 c+ Y4 H0 m* C; l(我要走了,再谈吧!)
