In 2008, SEDI founded the Canadian Centre for Financial Literacy (CCFL) which is a national network dedicated to supporting financial literacy capacity building and knowledge mobilization. It acts as a national ‘hub’ for financial literacy in Canada.9 g/ u' A I) w) {0 z

8 G: s, g- K+ Z5 A: r0 ^• conduct socio-economic market and policy research
& {5 R$ M# b+ k B/ {- b8 u• act as a knowledge broker between communities and policy makers, and influence public policies that affect low income earners 6 v" G ]+ w' d3 `/ N% n
• develop socio-economic programs and manage their implementation % ?9 h( }$ t9 a8 w; B2 \3 m# {
• partner with other nonprofits across Canada to deliver programs " k* f1 a+ K. V& _! q) X! E# v
• provide training and capacity building to frontline nonprofits
: H3 A/ ?$ m! {) z• work strategically with the public and private sectors to develop innovative responses
( V$ g. r, u x) ^) c) S• to work to reduce economic vulnerability in Canada

• Facilitation of forums and training of trainers sessions (basic financial literacy) with staff at partner community organizations across Canada + O7 w! h9 V, q6 E; T
• Assistance in the development and design of financial literacy tools (ie- curriculum, videos etc)
0 N" \ k; f3 X5 M* B• Coordination of activities and communication with delivery sites of the CCFL as required
5 M# |+ @, C5 |& |• Working with the website and communications teams on CCFL communications activities
" h5 A. A2 ^5 ^% J" `• Working with evaluation and management information systems team
" ~$ }- \- K( A0 x1 P• Other CCFL duties (reporting, evaluation, communications) as required 5 e& n; _% Y2 e$ j3 l/ c, X
Other Activities:6 o- b1 U. Y; @7 ^5 ~# A
• Providing support to implement research and evaluation activities, solve implementation challenges, and fine-tune strategies
- X2 R( x# N! n% g; m! ^• Organizing and monitoring the collection of all evaluation forms, surveys, and reports from project partners
% u" x; R) V( f. R0 g/ ]5 ]; I0 T- o• Working with in-house Management Information System staff to facilitate data input, analysis and reporting
- j5 k3 T& F% n5 k) o6 s' k• Writing and editing of research and evaluation reports, project reports and internal progress reports

• Demonstrated group facilitation experience
% E+ m' n2 m8 m) k N) S7 J0 [• Strong communication and public speaking skills; including comfortable with new technology and social media + Z% k. H6 e0 E" ^
• Able to travel across Canada to conduct training 2 i" E9 @, h7 ~+ V; ~) I; B( l
• Entrepreneurial spirit, can proactively identify prospective opportunities : @3 H- t" ~( r3 N0 r
• Highly motivated self-starter with team orientation; ability to build committed and collaborative teams ' K4 h3 y0 u8 l, ~
• Passion, enthusiasm and deep commitment to the SEDI mission, vision, values and goals 5 j4 q0 }# E5 R: y' \/ _
• Demonstrated understanding of basic financial literacy concepts
. v0 Y5 W. |+ v, e3 e• Experience in working with economically vulnerable Canadians and the organizations that serve them ! t6 F( Z% ^: s8 L" _1 U0 m
• Experience working directly with community organizations that serve segments of the population such as: youth, seniors, women, aboriginal peoples, newcomers to Canada etc ) G% Q" _7 L* A# E$ F# ]
• Experience in ‘training of trainers’ activities or education
+ ^* u8 M5 J' x$ \) \' ^: q• Content / curriculum development experience , k. C' S3 g6 `% I% q( _
• Team player, able to deal effectively with multi-sectoral partners ' \& C! w; }1 l( f$ H, @
• Excellent organizational skills % @) @, C/ k- r5 R
• Computer skills: Word, ACCESS, Power Point etc.

• Policy research skill set is an asset
