- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
; a2 b) x6 m. O: H! ]6 M- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.3 M) y* \5 ~, \9 p+ v
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
: w" I& [: A: N4 G- provide support to ISP staff
1 b c) P) J6 E0 z2 d" t, |- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
% O& A& m+ C- a( F- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
4 c% ~" d W; t+ B5 }5 q( g0 f- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated" u! c' R) Y1 f8 [% B
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants u6 ?+ z! r* |8 Y) W
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals0 R' Z' b% A4 C
- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
4 F; X. v" T. M+ k+ I1 V- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
) U, k* z2 g) Z( r- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities$ E; J/ k4 }( n6 }' z/ D
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned! I- j) o c1 `, E, V& N4 |' E
- other duties as assigned ( |' M5 U3 X" ^# j+ c3 E+ |( |
9 D+ f" F) k0 d8 HQualifications. X1 b2 M2 n9 D$ r
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered5 b- X# N* o% C9 f, w4 V
- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available0 ~, |/ T: i6 \& ]8 x
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
, F" X( I" z% n7 e3 y; y |- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software6 F; M5 B2 w* p/ h9 C4 c
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)1 G0 s: F1 _ Y; D+ H$ h
- good interpersonal and people skills

Salary
