Job Description
Q7 H+ g, e0 e$ E0 w4 G$ K2 M0 z- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information h. s7 l+ m8 s: V* n
- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.! B7 b# W J- y& C1 v! d
- develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
$ u( b- _8 n8 i$ w- provide support to ISP staff
7 G# A. I) `5 E; t( h. m- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
2 b2 L7 f; H; k! D1 u# T* p- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
0 [# U0 g" _+ Z* {: w" |6 {- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated$ ?# k$ e* i3 `7 F3 L+ G% r4 U
- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants0 \) O, _( a; a# ]. \. v
- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
# s* V0 _/ M3 D2 {3 y- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder) e- N# U8 R1 S& q
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
" ]- @5 w9 i5 L, I! v9 `, s- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities7 J# l" p3 K' P
- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

Qualifications
7 K% d) A1 }. @8 v1 E9 K- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
' _- j- Q* H8 ^6 z/ ?0 y) b- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available! \: a. z8 i5 Z% r6 y: ]
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers; S) e3 L K7 T
- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software+ E# `2 I/ P1 F$ }: _
- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)

- good organizational and coordination skills o" x" `0 y) o
- valid driver’s license
