$ {' x% D' k6 c( z( p) @' E- promote the Centre’s ISP to community organizations, businesses, educational institutions, etc. by in-person presentations, phone or sending relevant information
, L  F7 F0 a& b9 p+ i- ?# S( n- promote ISP in various media: newspaper, radio, newsletter, etc.
-  develop or update brochures, pamphlets, information packages, etc. for ISP
/ C" ~, L4 G* {. ^. X: E' P8 F) f: Z% L6 B- provide support to ISP staff
- recruit new members to the Newcomers Club and maintain existing members
- promote, organize and coordinate the Newcomers Club’s activities
- outreach in different areas of the city where new immigrants are concentrated
0 c7 }! E! G7 o! U6 g$ o- n- attend meetings relevant to ISP and outreach work to advocate issues and concerns of new immigrants
9 K4 N0 y. b5 `4 @- adapt to a flexible working schedule to accommodate the program’s goals
% k, M4 T) C" r0 p- fulfill the goals and objectives of ISP as contracted by funder
- report writing, data collection, conduct evaluations, budget management, etc.
8 K4 @* K8 H* h7 P- recruit and coordinate volunteers to assist with outreach activities
8 f5 `3 V/ N! f, ]- x5 w8 x$ Z- assist with front counter services as needed and assigned

  v9 S2 Q, ?# Q" j8 n/ c3 x& VQualifications
- degree/diploma in social work/human services and eligibility to be registered to area of discipline; relevant experience with community services/projects/immigrants will be considered
* B+ T2 A4 H* H+ D- knowledge of immigrant issues and concerns, community resources and services available
- experience in working with community groups and community liaison workers
8 i4 X% G( |4 K1 ~6 C: `- good computer skills using Microsoft and Chinese software
! t" H- u  ]3 C& k3 ]6 A- speak & write Chinese (fluent in Mandarin preferred)
- good interpersonal and people skills
7 {& j' r4 C* d' I- good organizational and coordination skills
+ F. |4 M- F7 f9 k- valid driver’s license

Salary
- $12/hr for 17.5hours/week, April 18 to March 31, 2007
