We are currently recruiting for an intermediate level C# analyst for one of our provincial government clients. It is a 1-year contract with possible extensions, and work location is Edmonton, Alberta.

G9 y6 EReporting directly to the Team Leader and indirectly to the Associate Director of Royalty/Tenure/Communication Applications, the Systems Analyst(s) will perform requirements gathering, maintenance, enhancement, development, and testing tasks on existing in house desktop and/or web applications. The prospective Resource requires a broad knowledge of object oriented technologies, C# programming experience, experience in development and maintenance of large applications, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to function within a team. The ability to lead requirements sessions with business, and formally document the requirements identified in the sessions, is vital to this position.

Responsibilities may include:

: J" Y/ b3 y2 [5 M+ c! R% e- Gathering and documenting requirements;

" t/ m  \; A" l5 Y- b' t- v! J& R  o- Leading and/or facilitating requirements sessions with business users;

- Performing detailed analysis and design of proposed application changes;

- Performing program modifications and enhancements with minimal direction;

% Q. |2 a# ]8 W5 |! l- Providing impact analysis of proposed business changes on the application, in terms of development effort and processing;

- Developing and executing test cases and scenarios and documenting expected and actual outcomes;

- Providing resolution to problems arising in the production version of the application;

( V) n8 @; H! o7 c$ a- Leading a subset of the larger team in a particular short term enhancement effort;

- Developing programs to extract or convert data for use elsewhere;

8 Y4 |1 `) @8 r  e0 ~! G" }  i- Adhering to quality assurance guidelines and maintaining quality assurance on all deliverables;

- Liaising with testing teams, client community, and operations areas;

7 H& H* \( q5 F2 r0 C. z( V- Providing on-call support on an as-needed basis;

- Status reporting to team leader as required;

- Developing and maintaining application documentation; and

$ G  J1 X5 ]% _! b' @6 ?- Using modeling techniques for data, process and business design.
