Develops and updates the graphic user interface including program interface (menus, dialogue boxes, file editing, etc.) using C++ or Java or other languages to allow users to compose run scripts and edit input files for a FORTRAN model
5 C, _ A9 v: S7 g- A' l" F5 B8 lGenerates dynamic visualization of numerical output from the model using VTK or other visualization tools, linked to explanatory documents8 T" H# u6 U: I+ k% A" V
Works with staff in the MACI to determine ways to deal with the data and find innovative approaches of presenting results
% ?, T% G$ P7 XImplements interface and visualization on portable media (CD and website) for use in research and teaching; implements the mathematical model "ecosy" in parallel mode on computing facilities available2 }0 |/ i% }5 U5 Y. |. U
Provides technical support to teaching initiatives at undergraduate and postgraduate levels using the mathematical model with the graphic user interface

Qualifications
+ x: _8 {0 l/ s+ v$ LB.Sc. in Computing Science with specialization in interface development
: F+ T* j% u, O# YRelated experience with interface development; interest in terrestrial ecology and global climate change an asset
- F3 z1 Q" ]; p9 [, e/ bProgramming in C++ and Unix, website development and maintenance& q) J% v v7 E/ c+ k" d' g
