Develops and updates the graphic user interface including program interface (menus, dialogue boxes, file editing, etc.) using C++ or Java or other languages to allow users to compose run scripts and edit input files for a FORTRAN model
9 Q% b* f+ [, ?Generates dynamic visualization of numerical output from the model using VTK or other visualization tools, linked to explanatory documents7 l4 d! v9 F- y M2 B6 W8 z0 X
Works with staff in the MACI to determine ways to deal with the data and find innovative approaches of presenting results4 {& O1 Y: U" s$ l& K% q4 i
Implements interface and visualization on portable media (CD and website) for use in research and teaching; implements the mathematical model "ecosy" in parallel mode on computing facilities available

Installs software and provides user support; liaises with users to enable their productive use of the software

Related experience with interface development; interest in terrestrial ecology and global climate change an asset! `2 }1 g' i$ Q x
Programming in C++ and Unix, website development and maintenance
