中发生了多起同性恋丑闻，这些人都有一些共同的特点：共和党，基督徒，在多项社会

While in the legislature he served as Senate Majority Leader. During these

He also proposed a law that would ban all sexual activity among persons
& `2 z$ U/ v  i( \* B# O- Tunder the age of 18 (the bill failed). He would later admit that he
regretted voting for those measures.[1] In 1995, when West was a state
. M9 T5 H# V0 i% N% Ssenator, he advocated the impeachment of then-Gov. Mike Lowry for alleged

+ W. l6 H' Y8 e& t. H' i% WWest was involved in a sex scandal in 2005. He was accused of sexually

7 I9 p; \. B$ A8 N) v9 G2 Q- zand Boy Scout leader. He was also accused of misusing his office as mayor
- p0 p- C. S8 t  l: g/ E# q& [, ato lure teenage boys for sexual relationships. West called the molestation
& p4 a: A/ P  z5 I6 Mallegations "flat lies". However he admitted to having private online
& V3 h8 a/ [  S: r: ^& urelationships in the past year through the Gay.com website (see ([3]).

West confirmed the accusations of meeting men over the Internet but denied
the charges that he had sought out minors (see[4]). Using the name "Right-
BiGuy" he allegedly offered internships to young gay men (some of whom were
just graduating from high school - none of whom, however, under the age of
3 m1 `$ I, U0 q& r" W" y18.

In November 2006, he resigned or was removed from all of his leadership

( q+ n  z3 Q; P0 b9 F, R7 l$ dsex and methamphetamine. Initially Haggard denied even knowing Mike Jones,
' i5 Z( A( P" h. ?1 Ubut as a media investigation proceeded he acknowledged that some allegations
, such as his purchase of methamphetamine, were true. He later added "sexual
immorality" to his list of confessions.[2]

# N( `& k2 ~9 ?counseling, overseen by four ministers. In February 2007, one of those

! F1 n0 q5 n: ]# N; \+ ARalph later said he meant that therapy "gave Ted the tools to help to
embrace his heterosexual side."[4] As of early 2009, Haggard continues to
