 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
/ f. w6 |/ R6 Z; z/ c% S6 U Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
 Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
9 H# N  R, N/ o3 h5 g1 Y4 h Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

' Y  g- \) J/ m  R1 w6 | Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
9 n' D! C$ S# z! ^0 `& `, w Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
" w# n4 H, r" a+ s+ t+ o Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
3 p3 @+ w4 ^! Z1 M Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
5 e% E6 Q" s( L. E+ Q( @ Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
) k# Z5 V0 R, `# @- W1 a Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
