5 m- ?6 q, C9 \( w7 a  ] Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
 Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
4 L, R) q7 y7 N3 | Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
: `4 E; M/ T% `' E% r Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
  |4 N9 z  @2 q: n Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
8 {1 J9 |# P9 e, ^2 r Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

+ k) ~( P7 b) Y% n Social work degree or diploma
0 n2 C: A9 N5 r  i- { Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
( T, x+ c5 h9 l Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
" X' v( z, }+ y% K Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
$ i6 H) o" Y  t Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
$ g# H3 o3 ?0 G; h: n Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
