 Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
' o3 ~5 b4 z! j  y Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
 Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
$ j4 v- i1 d; P Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
 Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
7 M; o  {7 N& J$ I. Q. E Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

 Social work degree or diploma
# c6 @/ c2 H$ U+ `2 Q. A Current RSW designation preferred   
( F+ S5 \1 c% V, W# ~ Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
 Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
6 _( }6 g# y0 t Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
5 @# C# F' h; w) T Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
2 b. o; H3 P5 j) C: P6 y Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
