  j6 t; K3 V6 T* \0 p Complete comprehensive intake and needs assessment process and develop referral and case plans to support newcomers in fully settling and participating in the community  
# H- f! y6 ^- s" e2 A: b* v Continue to follow-up with newcomers, EMCN staff and other service providers to ensure newcomers’ needs are met     
% V5 Z& H* e0 V  Y5 }; v Provide holistic counselling to individuals and families, including hands-on support with accessing resources and resolving difficult issues
 Advocate on newcomers’ behalf to programs, institutions and service providers
1 b, V' T) S0 `. i2 Z, c Research and maintain current information about programs and resources available in the community
9 O0 v, m6 y; P/ a- J& W+ [ Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with staff of programs and services in the city and ensure EMCN clients access the most appropriate solutions to meet their needs
 Work as a team with EMCN staff to ensure holistic supports are provided to newcomers.

Qualifications
4 T* W) e: v+ ?" U9 ^ Social work degree or diploma
 Current RSW designation preferred   
 Demonstrated experience with holistic case management and supportive counselling
3 J9 s0 W5 E! [; Q) Q1 v9 D: m8 E Knowledge of and experience in accessing a wide range of programs, services and supports available in the City  
 Ability to effectively listen, assess needs and guide people in a supportive manner
 Sensitivity to cross-cultural issues
 Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
 Ability to perform variety of diverse tasks under time pressure.
