  Duties
$ D1 l5 F2 r8 E2 _1 |: M' h5 d* ^Delivers, sorts and picks up mail, parcels, courier documents, cylinders, crates, dangerous goods, furniture, tack boards, tables and chairs, surplus equipment, and any related incoming and outgoing items
; h; v/ a/ D8 x/ Q/ ^, W& k7 H! d$ sObtains signatures, scans traceable items into Palm Pilots upon delivery to departments
. E. }/ Q* }$ p9 b% GEnsures Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) regulations are followed on TDG shipments inbound and outbound
: T8 S; q7 ]. X6 Y7 }Prioritizes workload and requests from dispatcher and team lead
8 t3 C/ _& P, aOperates University vehicles from small vans to 3-ton trucks, including standard transmissions

Qualifications
+ L6 z% S. O9 `Valid Class 5 drivers license - the successful candidate will be required to provide a Drivers' Abstract and have completed a Defensive Driving course in the previous 2 years.
8 }5 |- M+ Y7 Z; d/ HHigh School diploma; previous driving experience required
) F7 U! p. Q4 o  C  w' ACurrent certification in Transportation of Dangerous Goods; Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS) certification
Training related to proper handling procedures of Radioactive and Biohazard materials
Ability to operate equipment including forklift, power-jack, pallet-jack, Johnson bar
Forklift operating certificate
