' p. ]6 S; O* A5 x& x+ k1 sAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation)
2 a& i" H d$ J( iProvides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required/ }* `. W0 L; ]" k$ e1 q, }- K
Performs other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed$ S4 n- U1 m: x+ {/ l8 z, S

Qualifications/ _" P; s& k; n0 U
Diploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred8 s9 D. ^; k/ I/ ^1 e- O
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred/ ]- W: T% ~: @& C
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset; n' u0 }& t/ i
Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred
' m/ X7 ]0 h1 w* ZFamiliarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit( r/ w5 C, w* X1 c
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages
