Duties
. O- K& e8 N) `" a) n4 YAssists with the creation and implementation of computer software as directed by the project management team (includes leading edge machine learning techniques, robot control, gaming and simulation): A, n& n. `+ N8 u* m
Provides techical support to end-users as directed and is responsible for ensuring end-user usability and satisfaction when required
, P/ ~ b1 ? H$ [" R# ePerforms other general programiming tasks such as building GUI (graphical user interfaces) front ends, etc. as directed

Qualifications
' r4 f8 A& V! N) J7 i& ZDiploma in Computing Science; undergraduate degree in Computing Science preferred3 k7 v D' k3 k) y- j+ w
Demonstrated work experience with Web programming and scripting tools such as PHP and Perl, and mySQL database design and management; knowledge of MatLab, Weka and CVS repository system preferred3 z ?7 G0 j: @6 [
Solid knowledge of microcomputer operating systems (Windows XP as well as Unix/Linux); experience in other domains (Bioinformatics, electronic entertainment, ecommerce) an asset; Dynamic programming an asset
1 V' _1 [& c$ E+ z8 _# X* C* OKnowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning technologies preferred# K4 M+ Q O, j$ l' k% o
Familiarity with object orientated analysis and design and project life-cycle methodologies is a benefit2 T) ? p! l, H( @. s
Relevant programming experience using Java, C++, and other programming languages7 y2 B5 c; W- V# B2 [7 G
Ability to adapt in a high technology research environment
