 Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.% ~. m: T& v% Z9 A' z
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site., U7 B* g/ d& b {+ v! v: J, d+ V: S
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.3 m7 ^) `$ J* K+ _% @+ H9 d. ^* F! y
 Completing required paperwork.1 P5 \( ]' m* O* t; N
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
Z- l/ y) m6 k+ P Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner." A$ G5 S( [0 O" [" F4 X9 ~+ A
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff./ C/ ~# ~" v& O- H( u& A
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

( h( z$ {7 K5 e" z" w) Z Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience., c+ S& l8 j) ?- L- Y
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.% c, ~) z7 N& C
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
$ d1 h3 ?, v8 n" j8 O Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.* b, s' ~) U9 O
 Knowledge of community resources.( Q3 E: }; v/ E' P, ?5 v
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
' I# I2 |1 s8 K- W Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:# F9 F1 ~7 a: z; Y
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. 2 d, ^$ U# Q' Q' y
There is a 3-month probationary period. / o6 |" O- O. p8 E- B5 [* E3 B
