Key Responsibilities & Duties:
3 M/ K$ D( m0 G% Q
' C6 C  E7 }$ E6 \7 ` Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
8 _2 c% S6 T; H. @ Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
2 Z9 J: B$ f8 \# S+ b+ C; _ Completing required paperwork.
7 h" Q' S, f5 V7 g0 I! Z: H Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
! h3 `/ p% U% K) i Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
$ L" L3 e  S9 C! A! T Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
! r! W# S) q3 d% r: N1 m( J Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
" u% {5 K  _3 Y Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
% C5 C8 S$ x7 p% x; [ Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
$ }. B; F% t8 @- D1 _ Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
