Key Responsibilities & Duties:

( U7 v7 }3 o3 Y$ h Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
' R/ C' m. h- W! |. m5 n7 w% f6 i6 | Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
3 R2 F0 p1 W( a Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
 Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

: A! v/ N5 \" z& i+ c+ u Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.

 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
* U" ~2 S; ^& L5 |8 v Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
% \: g7 y5 ]0 N) m/ J0 iThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
/ f+ G1 ^& a" |: M* Z. d0 LThere is a 3-month probationary period.
