3 X$ Z) ^) U/ VKey Responsibilities & Duties:

4 E$ s" X; `* h0 d+ ` Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
! X2 G. n; q# X( G5 g Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
) ?. ~: |3 v9 s/ ` Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
+ ?. C1 s5 K6 \( {1 t  E  v Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
9 m! c' I& t! a9 e6 O+ I- ? Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
* L# Z- J9 E  V( [: N# Q Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
9 a, Y0 f/ F- r- r0 D! \6 o4 B Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
+ H. ?7 B; ?7 e5 [" l8 e+ w Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:
3 a! Z' |) v4 C) _* H  g
 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
8 I7 p/ d$ B% @9 u Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
, x8 b1 ^, n1 q8 @ Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

! x5 [8 O8 I9 T& ?0 HThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006.
There is a 3-month probationary period.
