4 E$ s" X; `* h0 d+ ` Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
! X2 G. n; q# X( G5 g Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
) ?. ~: |3 v9 s/ ` Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.6 @: ]& N* d) h3 v
 Completing required paperwork.

 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.

 Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
* L# Z- J9 E V( [: N# Q Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.

Qualifications:

 Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
8 I7 p/ d$ B% @9 u Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills./ W8 E/ B( ]: F' P! M, [) L
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.: N1 F% Q: Q: d: V
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
, x8 b1 ^, n1 q8 @ Knowledge of community resources.) Y: I! ~# _# L! X( \2 {1 o! c, w
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.8 |$ ?# x2 B- V' E2 D! N8 l
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. 2 h3 ^, F0 z$ r; I8 a4 g
4 B/ C$ B$ S' n3 C9 n/ FPosition:
! x5 [8 O8 I9 T& ?0 HThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; evening and weekend shifts; at an hourly rate of $12.50; starting February 8 2006. : g& [( K% E+ T! _3 h
There is a 3-month probationary period.
