! K+ w4 U0 E l2 q5 P6 Q Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.* s9 H. @+ B6 ^8 c5 O5 ?& [6 |, k) q
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.* M4 W+ I# D% N7 x4 K7 E2 Q
 Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.; m: Q" j/ x$ H2 g' D4 D! o
 Completing required paperwork.
K N8 [8 I( t& q) z, N- X Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.

 Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.

J% I( q8 ^6 _3 ~ Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.

. u- ]: t+ o! l" {3 f Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
4 _2 S6 Q* w! {% V. H0 v* u$ ` Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
. s i6 z* c2 K( d' Z Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
5 C7 P; c* @0 L! J1 L! N( K Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
- ]) ]7 \' F. b$ H! Z" u3 {5 S Knowledge of community resources., y: e+ v8 l W3 B! B% y1 n7 [+ h" L
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
( L: Z" ^, ]) S Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training. $ h1 z3 ^1 `3 D

This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50; ; [; t/ y. Q4 ]- J0 Y% U
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period. |
