) i) w+ g- u. Q' c Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
: @8 z  D& {8 f. t' v Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
+ w  s4 X" x6 |5 q' W3 r! | Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
" p" L$ Y7 t6 a$ N/ Z4 y( L Completing required paperwork.
  s/ I. g% }8 s9 G; g9 k/ T& T Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
1 a, i5 Z9 s+ b Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
" E; C9 q  P. R. d Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
 Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
 Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
  _$ E( h, \* A+ @5 k9 K Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.

9 g' ]2 M' t& v, GQualifications:

- f  `" ]: ?$ g. w Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
 Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
: m+ @/ H5 k8 y% a Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
 Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
, d7 }  Z+ C2 v' O: o0 I5 Z Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
This is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
starting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
