4 [5 {. Y; w* j+ c Facilitate delivery of safe and supportive drop-in programming, while supervising youth.
 Coordinate food and recreational programs on and off-site.
* p$ e- V! A# |+ y# a Provide positive role-modeling and maintaining a healthy atmosphere for the youth.
 Completing required paperwork.
 Attending scheduled staff meetings and workshops.
 Following and implementing all program policies and procedures.
$ `5 p2 L8 }  k/ o( E% J Maintaining confidentiality of client and program personnel information.
3 l/ {* y" q$ [' t# R+ b* Z+ u Representing the Teen Centre in a professional manner.
& U# q) ~3 E& w0 D% {$ W1 h7 z Maintaining professional boundaries between clients and staff.
7 t$ I, I% V6 a5 I Provide additional support to the program as needed under the direction of the Program Manager.
4 }- j7 }# o2 O6 W" m: F Reporting to the Program Manager on a Regular basis.


Qualifications:
0 N1 U- @3 ?1 n, E0 N  b
" H, o& ?0 _1 }" d) g: t% m1 Y Some post-secondary education needed OR a minimum 6 months related experience.
: _( g, H  ~' |" @5 T9 L+ l8 q# @/ E Strong interpersonal, communications, teamwork, leadership and organizational skills.
 Non-judgemental and empathetic attitude towards high-risk youth.
 Broad knowledge base on issues affecting high risk youth: latch key, addictions, abuse, Aboriginal and other cultures, poverty, sexuality, etc.
& v3 {! H2 l: q2 _  }5 i8 ]. W+ z/ ? Knowledge of community resources.
 Criminal Record Clearance and Child Welfare Information System Clearance.
 Standard First Aid and Suicide Intervention Training.

Position:
: V1 @7 D& @# b6 I' }) |) ^$ PThis is a part-time position; 15hrs/week; with a combination of afternoons and one weekend shift per month; at an hourly rate of $12.50;
- V: ~0 z, w9 D' }3 r; S' {, Xstarting January 2006. There is a 3-month probationary period.
